For once I don't really care for the horsepower, although paradoxically I do, but for different reasons other than the conventional "It's gotta do 60fps and 4k" shite. For me, the current generation would go down as a failure as far as actual games go (remakes, remasters, early access sold as full price, micro transactions, you name it), if it weren't for Sony taking a massive gamble on VR, which has proven to have paid off for them massively, so much so, this new system is being tailored for it. Some might think I'm talking shite here, but this is a system built around VR, rather than VR being built for it, and the early indication with the hardware, and words straight from the horse's mouth indicate it to be as such. The backward compatibility technology is a defining factor and is the biggest feature on it. Ultimately it's the games - as usual - that should do the talking, and really, this is where the entire industry needs to get its act together. If there's a tonne of the usual bollocks like Assassins Creeds, Fifa's, Call of Dutys etc etc that are being used to sell these things, then they can keep them. I'll be waiting to see what the specs are on their new headset, because that's what excites me the most about the console.
