i liked that a lot, feels like they've struck a good balance between character scenes, forboding and (next episode) action. I didn't mind the Arya scene either, though I'm also glad it wasn't shot from the front. Episode 3 death pool, in order of likelihood:

1) Theon (absolutely NAILED ON)

2) Greyworm



3) Ghost (apparently he was in this one but I must have missed it)

4) Podrick

5) Lyanna Mormont/The Bear Island girl

6) Davos

7) Tormund

9) Everyone in the crypt

Lord Varys hardly seen him this series so will more than likely be killed.

Gilly I thought there was something strange about her they seem to have a lot of big clothes on her like she is pregnant in real life and they were trying to hid it.but I could be totally wrong of course. 

What will Arya use her staff on I guess the Night King or his Dragon.

Thinking about it maybe not Jaime wasn't Bronne sent to kill him and Tyrion so there is more storyline there.

Yeah I'm expecting many deaths in the next episode. You are right about that Arya's spear. Maybe she will use it to kill the ice dragon, or even the Night King. Little witch knows how to hit the bullseye.

I think we need a big death next week, not this filler stuff. I'm guessing plot armour will keep Dany, Jon, Jaime, Cersei, Tyrion, Sansa and Arya safe but it would be good if one of them bit the dust, so that Game of Thrones can get back to that 'nobody is safe' feeling it used to have

The Crypts are the safest place. The Starks will rise, but to protect against the White Walkers. There is a reason they are burried in the crypts. Sam once said there is magic hidden in Winterfell.

I think ultimately that is what will defeat the army of the dead. It was quite pointing that they discussed death in episode 2 and that death is basically forgetting. When we die, we forget. But the North Remembers.

Arya running through the crypts in the trailer makes me.believe it even more

I think the Hound will die, but signs point to Clegane bowl first.

Theon will die saving Sansa, or maybe Bran.

Arya, Sansa and Jon will survive.

Jaime will die (saving Brienne?) and Arya will use his face to kill Cercei. Brienne will write his story in the book of knights.

Tyrion will die later on in the season, after the battle at Winterfell.

I think in the next episode Varys will die, possibly Jorah. Grey Worm or Missandei but not sure which one. I think non plot essentials will mostly die, Podrick, Varys etc.

Samwell will be telling the story at the end of the season as Grand Maester Tarly.

I am hoping for Nymeria to return for the battle with her wolf pack.

 Whatever is left of Jon and Dany's army at the end of next weeks episode will not be enough to also take on Cersei's Golden Compass even without the elephants! Something has to also happen first in Kings Landing. And with only 4 episodes left it probably isn't going to be a simple as NK defeats Jon's army (or vice-versa), marches south and fights Cersei's.

I think Winterfell will fall some will escape on Dragons etc.

They must be a reason they show the Night Kings army on the opening credits getting closer to Winterfell so the next titles they can show Winterfell in ruins and the army advancing to King landing etc.

Naa, I think it is just for the dramatic effect. The dead will march towards Winterfell and then the NK will fly from the back on Viserion. It is just set up as part of the OMG moment for Danerys and co.

More than likely, Saying that he must be flying very slow on his dragon if they are all arriving at Winterfell at the same time. Or maybe he got there hours earlier and just waited

There was a trailer recently, where you see all of the main characters weapons (and Bran's wheelchair) lying in the snow in the apparent aftermath of a huge battle at winterfell..

I wonder whether that's because winterfell is abandoned and the fight is taken up somewhere else i.e. Kings Landing. So that theory makes some kind of sense.

Mind you if you were making an episode in which everyone knows that a lot of people may die it would be a good ideal to put a few red herring into the one before to trick people into thinking they have a good ideal on who will die and survive and then not do that and throw some shocks in.

Yeah I'm probably thinking way to much about it. I can't see the night king flying to Kings landing on his own as he generally doesn't do a lot of killing does he? That's what the whites are for and there's nothing to reincarnate if he killed them with dragon fire.

It would make a good story though, Him attacking Kings Landing the same time as the great war would be fun.
