We are going to play Esperance de Tunis? Hienghene Sport? And Al-Sadd...?

Hell yeah. I think we will win even if we send our Woman Team and put Salah as a goalkeeper.

I am really confident on this. Liverpool FC, King of Europe...

.

We enter at the Semifinal stage, so it's only two matches to try to win the one cup we have never won in the history of the club and it comes with some nice prize money as well.

Want to win this, and I suspect our top players will want to win this too.

Bit of rotation will be need obviously though. This is one for the likes of Shaqiri, Keita (please Fowler!) and maybe Brewster to start games..

Rotate Mane, Salah and Bobby aggressively.

Yeah I imagine we'll want to send out an almost completely 'B' team in the semi, and then probably still rest a couple of others for the final. We've got 3 more games in about a week right afterwards and then the 10 day winter break.

Probably something like

             Adrian
Hoever - Lovren - Gomez - Milner

           Keita - Gini/Hendo/Ox
               Lallana

Shaqiri                  Origi
             Brewster

Should still be more than enough quality to get us there.

We enter at the Semifinal stage, so it's only two matches to try to win the one cup we have never won in the history of the club and it comes with some nice prize money as well.

I imagine we will turn out a close to full strength team for the final, which will be a tough game.

Depends on the league and CL really. If we're winning all our games I'd rest a couple of the the front three for Ox, Shaq; if not, well, sod that cup! But our squad is good enough to win anyway.
This is the type of thing people were saying last season from around the CL quarter finals onwards with regards to the League and European Cup. Jurgen still went balls deep in both competitions and we won all our league games and the European Cup!

South American teams are tough to play against though and all the previous Liverpool teams of old which qualified never beat their South American opponents in the World Club final. I think we wil have to go full strength even in the semifinals because a full B team for the semifinals may not be enough.

It is however gladdening that Gremio is already underestimating Liverpool ...

bearing in mind that a Real Madrid that had Cristiano Ronaldo playing for them needed Sergio Ramos' skill at the shoulder throw to knock out Salah and the elbow strike to concuss Karius and Bale's extraordinary goal to beat even the 2018 Liverpool that was not as good as the current team...

We'd be playing a team from Asia in the semis, or Africa. I don't think we need to turn out a full strength team.

Our 'B' team would finish in the top 8 in the PL, so it should be more than enough to beat some random Asian or African team.

The toughest possible semifinals opponent would be Monterrey, who have won the North/Central American champions league.

The winners of Copa Libertadores and Asian CL will be decided end of November (the libertadores semis are Boca-River Plate and Gremio-Flamengo).

Would have been nice for Monterrey and the Brazilian/Argentinian team to tire each other out with an American battle, and us to have the easiest semi. But I'm sure we can make do ;D

Probably the first time we have faced 3 possible opponents in a draw in my whole life when I have never heard of any of the 3. I feel like watching the round before ours to get an idea of what level the opposition are, even knowing they must be the cream of their continents.
Edit: just looked in, Monterrey are 11th in the Mexican league, 12 points in week 10 of the season. Al Sadd means The Boss, so presumably mid 80s boss, Qatar style.
Hienghène Sport are from the Pacific Isles of New Caledonia, whose whole population is roughly the same as Liverpool City. None of the team are foreign imports.

Impressive stadium that, although questionable how they have treated their workforce over the years. Its going to be a spectacle no doubt for our lads to play over there.

River Plate. Very well coached and they have that confidence of beating their local rival in the final last year and are up 2-0 after the first leg of the semi-finals this year.

Changed my mind on this 180 degrees.

Don't care about it at all, we can play Harvey Elliot, Ki-ana Hoever, whoever really. As long as our main players are fit for the league campaign, if the 1st team squad travel let them have a mini-warm weather retreat there instead of playing.
