3 points, very happy with those

we didn't get out of 3rd gear today and our finishing, well, that has to improve ten-fold. If it does then the complaints that will come about us not putting games to bed will disappear. Let's hope BR sees that as priority #1 to work on.

Ugly win, how long since we've had one of those?

Got the result, nervous towards the end thought it was inevitable they'd score.

Piss poor refereeing again. Quality goal from Sterling.

Still massively obvious that we need a scorer though.

Thank fuck for that. Not the most comfortable viewing. Got really nervous towards the end....

Win's a win though, and especially coming after the international break 3 points in the bag is always good. Finishing still a massive problem for us though - 23 shots, 13 on target 1 goal...

Shout out for Brad Jones too - played well today.

Our defence is a fucking mess, I don't know what they're doing half the time. Not tracking runners, not closing players down. It will cost us with more lethal opponents.

Other than that well played Raheem and Suarez was phenomenal, but his finishing is a problem.

Online please, I have my reasons for it but...

A win's a win. Also, Barry Horne is a knob.

Is that who that was? Fucking dickhead, knew he sounded familiar but couldn't place him. "The crowd are going to get a reputation as referee-baiters" - ooh, God forbid a crowd calling for decisions for their team at a football match. I heard some people were swearing too. It's just not cricket.
Balotelli, Falcao, Cavani...

I'll be shocked if it's anyone other Etoo. Etoo or no-one. Simples.

In fact, I'll do you all a favor and ban myself from the January transfer window forum if we get anyone other than Etoo.

Mike Marsh - http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/marsh-on-reading-ngoo-and-anfield

I think if Adam does get the chance to play on a regular basis for the first team it won't be in a central position because we've got Luis Suarez there, so that's the thinking behind it.

That is such a fucking worrying statement. Suarez had 9 shots today, he put 6 of them wide.

Ridiculous overreaction.

Suarez has been on fire this season, and he made the one goal we did score today.  That's not even factoring in the fact that he played 90 minutes at 3500 metres altitude only a few days ago.  I'm surprised he started at all; if we weren't so desperately short up front, surely he would have been rested.  Strikers are allowed to go a game without scoring every now and again, especially if they're creating chances that lead to winning goals from others.

A win was what mattered the most today. Especially with all the lads returning from an energy-sapping international break, including even our U-21's. Clean sheet was a massive bonus for the defense. Delighted for young Raheem. Hopefully the first of many, many more goals for the club. Our midfield was very sloppy in possession in the second half. You could see Allen, Suarez and Sahin visibly tiring as the game went on.

Bring on the blueshite next. Oh, and wrap up Suarez in cotton wool. No need to risk him in the Europa or other cup tournaments.

Barry Horne can fuck right off with his fucking Anfield is a Turkish/Stoke approach in hostilities for a ref. c*nt.

Brad Jones gets the derby.

a win is a win, but how poor we were.

We completely lost our composure and patience in the second half and became too direct, we more intelligent players who have the ability to get on the ball and slow it down. Suarez and Gerrard are a 1000 miles an hour players, with extra bit of composure we would have torn Reading apart.

Hopefully Lucas is back soon, so we can get the balance right in the midfield again.

But a good win and delighted for Sterling to get his first goal

Phew ! We created a ton of chances but failed to put them away. Sterling was very impressive throughout and took his goal well. Reading were dangerous on the break in the second half and our midfield didn't cover our defence well enough. Suarez was wasteful in front of goal but what a glorious pass for Shelvey whose first touch let him down. Brad Jones pulled off a number of top saves and his command of the box was very encouraging.

Enrique did well down the flank when he came on and more experience for youngsters - so all in all, a good win albeit just the 1-0, we should have been out of sight but its three points, and a welcome first home win of the season.

The ironic cheers were hilarious.

Onwards and upwards !

Luis is such an enigma, I don't think he is a finisher  at all, but then when he scores like he did at carrow road 2 years in a row.

anyway, 7pts out of the 9 for the last three games. good enough.

Plus Suarez should have squared that(to sahin) opportunity he got after their goalkeeper made a meal of the clearance.

Was impressed with Jones,Johnson and Gerrard today. Bring on Everton.

It goes way beyond that as well. Suarez always tries things which have such a low percentage chance of coming off - sometimes he just floats the ball towards the box. I'd rather Suarez (and not Borini) had got injured because I honestly don't think he is good for this team.

Bollocks. He was at his wasteful worst for us at times today but he also created the goal and a lot of other chances too.

He's also got a fairly decent scoring record for us this season.

Hopefully demonstrated to the manager that when we get other striking options Suarez is moved out to the left or right, really should have grabbed a hattrick today.
