This time last year they were a League in front of us, and now they are 2 Leagues below us.    ;D

Fulham to thrash these useless bastards tonight, easy.

As i've said they'll be playing Accrington Stanley in the same division next season, when a year ago there was 3 divisions between them. ;D

It might be donkeys years before we play them again.  They might do a Leeds United or a Nottingham Forest and be down in lower leagues from now till doomsday.    :)

Or could be a new Portsmouth & end up in League 2.

It's £70k right now.  While he didn't have a relegation clause in his contract for the Championship he does have one for League One which will reduce his weekly wages to £40k which will most likely make him the highest paid L1 player.  All that for a player who hasn't won a game in what, 2 years?

40k next year due to relegation - they’ll struggle to get rid of him!

They've suffered two relegations in a row, are in mountains of debt thanks to their owner, and the fans won't even be arsed anymore.

How long until they default and go into administration?

great foresight from them for having a league 1 wage cut clause, as for Rodwell he’s probably been told to stay away, and seeing as they were dumb enough to give him that money he’s entitled to take it in its entirety

There was a Guardian piece on the signings they’ve made in recent seasons and good god did they buy some useless dross. The predicament they are in can easily be understood by the fact that they became an Everton B team or worse, a Man United C team, including the manager, David Moyes.

Hope the experience was everything he hoped it would be when he packed in the Welsh job.

Still can't believe that he went to Sunderland expecting any more than what he's got - a first relegation on his CV and the sack in less than six months.

Has to be one the most baffling managerial choices i have ever seen in my life time.

He must have been offered an amazing contract to take that poison chalice of a job.

Or he must be really thick to take it and not see what everyone knows that it wouldn't end well.
"Since its purchase by the sheikh of Abu Dhabi, Manchester City has managed to cheat its way into the top echelon of European football and create a global, immensely profitable football empire, ignoring rules along the way. The club's newfound glory is rooted in lies."

Talk about sabotaging your own reputation. Had built up plenty of goodwill from his time at Wales, but bizarrely took one of the most difficult jobs in the Football League. Deserves what he gets from here on.

Yep. Said it at the time. This was a stupid choice. If he would have stuck with Wales and did well at another Euros, perhaps he gets a lower PL job at best or an upper Championship one at worst. His reputation will be in tatters now

He must be as convinced in his own ability as Pardew is.

Bizarre that he thought there'd be any benefit from managing a club with massive debt, shit players, no money and an owner desperate to get out.

If he'd have waited a couple of weeks there were far better jobs on offer.

To sum up, he's a fucking idiot  ;D

Don't think Coleman's reputation as a manager will take too much of a hit.  He can always claim Sunderland are effectively unmanageable as they are, which is true.

However his career judgement now has a big question mark hanging over it.

No career judgement involved as it was decided on money.

Sunderland were nearly doubling his wages to join them.
