I was there, the fans were great.

I was at Anfield the last few weeks too and the belief is gone replaced by sniping of our own players, into a lot of anger and toxicity at the Palace game.

The belief is not there right now, when the going gets tough the fans are leaving and criticizing

Anfield is reactive. That's what make it what it is in a visceral way. Its stepped up a lot since December, not least as we've barely had one straightforward win in that time, going back to Fulham.

But the crowd react to what the players are serving up which is why the atmosphere was shite last season as well, that's just how it is. The players have to show something as well.

He had better get Salah's replacements right then. I say replacements as there is no like for like replacement out there. It will need two players to replace what we lose with Salah. It certainly won't be as straightforward as his critics on here think.

This might have been the case at one point, but definitely isn't now.

It's not straightforward though to be fair. If Salah had been playing the whole season at his current level, then I'd be sure we should try to sell and rebuild. But he was still very good until the end of 2023. It's a very hard one for Edwards and co. But I'd be surprised if they aren't at least seriously considering taking the big money if it's offered in the summer.

Imagine how miserable we'd all have been if we had started the season off like this (not inconceivable given all the changes).

We didn't, and I have some fantastic memories and had loads of fun along the way.

Sure, we've faltered in the last few weeks, but we've had better squads than this falter too over the years.

I'm a bit disapponted but such is life.

I've been in the situation where a leader has resigned and it often takes a while for the sobering reality to sink in - I think that's part of what has happened here.

Chin up everyone, season not done yet

It is not about Klopp being 'found out', or Klopp being a bad manager. The team looks flat and out of gas. The coaching staff cannot find a solution. The football is slowly becoming dreeary. A new coaching staff, new manager, and probably a few new players will inject new ideas and we can enjoy some good results.

Meanwhile,  let us enjoy the last 5 games with Klopp.

Last 6 games. Are you trying to push Klopp out before his time?

Sadly yes, harsh viewing at the moment, when Salah missed I knew it was done, my heart sank.

Almost like he’s just coming back from being up out for three months?
I’m astonished by the level he’s returned at and how quickly he’s found it.

Oh I know, not blaming him in any way for anything. He played more and better than expected.
It's just frustrating. Can easily see him, Jota, Jones etc - fully click into gear early May, by which point it will be too late.

We need more pace up top and some much better ball players in the middle, we can’t quickly pass and move ourselves out of a paper bag.

A 6 in the Busqests mould would be fine as well.
