Footy Report Streaming
« on: August 30, 2013, 08:39:44 pm »
Anyone else use this? First weekend of the season it was brilliant. Watched 3 games over the weekend and they all played perfect but last weekend the Utd V Chelsea game was unwatchable just kept buffering and freezing every 30 seconds. Our game V Notts county wasn't that much better on Tuesday.

I'm hoping last weekend was a one off considering the games at the weekend.

Footy report is LOF (hd-streaming, news-source etc.)

Usually sound but been pretty average so far this season... though all our games bar Notts County have been fine.

I hope they haven't oversold subscriptions. :/

UPDATE:

The problem may have been due to the fact you could use their service even if you hadn't paid your subscription... sometimes you didn't even need to login!

As of this morning all the bugs seem to have been fixed, so hopefully their servers can handle the load now.

EDIT -

Nevermind, sometimes the login stuff works properly but it's letting me stream without logging in again  :butt

Cheers for that mate, I have been watching the City game for 70 minutes now and it's been fine. If people are watching that haven't paid I'm sure that's something they will fix asap. Do they have a forum or anything? I did ask them a question on their feedback page but never got a response.

I've only ever had one response from them via email, I think they may be in the process of fixing everything today we'll see.

There's an XBMC forum you can chat about the site on, I've been on there having a rant today. No one who runs it posts on there, but at least you can find others who use the site http://www.xbmchub.com/forums/sports-xbmc/10748-footy-report-21.html

I haven't been that impressed with footyreport. As an alternative, try offsidestreams.

when you click on a game,.. click pause for a second then play... bottom left... seems to sort it out or change to SD instead of HD..
been using it for over a year without subscription...  8)

It's people like you that are making it lag for everyone else! ;D (like, really)

They clearly know about it as well and every time it seems fixed it's broken before you know it. I think they fucked themselves by having login on one site and the streams on a separate one.

Yeah I think they're on top of the subscription bug, watched both our game and London derby on their XBMC plugin and didn't have a single bit of lag.

Defo recommend the XBMC plugin over the website, such a smoother picture when you're not dealing with flash.

Cheers, I will give it a go when we play next. Normally I just hook the laptop up to the TV via hdmi but I got XBMC on my laptop so could do it through there onto the tv instead.

I am having issues with News-source site. It lets me log in and get to the page when I select which channel I want to watch but when I press play on either my phone, tablet or PC it just won't load the stream up.

Anyone else having this issue? or just me? Is it because my subscription has run out?

Desperate to get it sorted for this weekend’s boxing.

Can't remember if it's the news source or footy report plugin, but doesn't one of them say you have to be logged on to the site (via a PC) when using the XBMC plugin ?

news-source appear to have sorted their issue where you could watch without an active subscription. Oh well, it's only a fiver a month and it makes my dad happy that he can watch our games without paying Sky or BT.
