Yeah happy with the win, not happy with McGeady again he went pass the fullback time and time again but his final ball was terrible if he could put in a good cross he would be a very good player for Ireland.

Why should I be jealous of those? I support my own side... How can anyone be jealous of that lot of ponsey short pass boring shit? Slight touch, fall over and die crap?! Pile of shite their World Cup Win. Although, as I am not one for being sour grapes, I have to hand it to them when they won the Euros, their attacking play was breathtakingly good.

Can't believe we lost :(
Now, people will not wank over Barca B ;D

On a more serious note, that team we had wasn't even Barca B! It was more like Barca B+Barca B reserves

France dominated most of the match, Bosnia tried and had chances here and there but you could feel that France were the most likely to score most of the time, once Benzema scored his goal, the Bosnia's energy began to be watered down and their motivation began to die soon, France scored a second goal about six minutes after the first by a wonderful counter attack and Bosnia rarely touched the ball after that, Benzema missed a sitter few minutes from time.

No, he was shite, Spain were 3-0 down at halftime, how 'dominating and imperious' was he then?
And he was captain of that shower of shit, he's a born leader.
As token Irishman said on commentary, Alonso could and should have been sent off for a couple too many shitty challenges (borne of him not being quick enough to get near most Argie players, one would guess).
Things changed when Xavi came on later, now there's a player.  He's a c*nt, looks like a Turkish colonel from WWII, but he's a proper player.

I watched the England game in a pub showing it in 3D. I must say it's prettty good! Looks a bit silly walking into the pub and seeing about 30 grown men wearing big thick black glasses.

It makes you feel like you're on the front row of the ground, but the best bits are close ups which is where you can really see how good it is.

dominating in the sense of the hard tackles may be, but spain's midfield got owned yesterday.  Argentina was going through them easily

Really enjoyed the England game last night. Thought it was as good a performance as England have put in under Capello.

Gerrard and Johnson were both really good and it was good to see them both getting an assist. Gerrard was brilliant again and seemed to dominate the game, I don't see how anyone can justify bringing Lampard back now after how well Barry and Gerrard have played together in the last two games.

On the bad side, watching our game against the Mancs in 3d means that you'll see Gary Neville, bigger and more detailed coming towards you everytime there is a replay or a close up on him.

He was a permanent fixture in the midfield of the World Cup Winners. And played very well. What is there to overhype?

He had a poor game last night. It happens now and again to the best of them. But for the past two years he's been brilliant for us, Real and Spain.

Oh right, they also played Mexico. Barely escaped from a loss to get a draw.

It is strange choice from Spanish FA. They go to different continents for useless friendlies, and as much as I like watching Spain play, all Barca players come back tired.

What Brazil did is the most sensible. Played Barca B/Barca B reserves like a training session.

I'll just wade through the shit and ask: how is Xavi a c*nt?

Also, genuine question: how many times did you watch Xabi Alonso live?

Because I think he's a c*nt, case closed.
Probably only 3 times, but I don't see what that's got to do with anything.  It's not hard to keep your eye on Xabi when watching on TV, it's a pretty wide angle.  One occassion I watched Xabi live was when he came on and scored twice against Fulham away so, if anything, my experience of Xabi Live should endear me to him, no?

I'm of the opinion that he was underrated for quite a while, but then was vastly overrated after his final season and us losing him, the media went mental over him leaving.  The truth is somewhere between those two poles.
I fail to see how any central midfielder can be deemed to be 'imperious' during a 4-1 defeat.  If he was imperious, then what was Cambiasso?

According to Oli Kay on Twitter both Walcott and Defoe could be out for weeks with injuries after the international.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

Carlos Queiroz sacked, I'd make a new thread but the Manc twat isn't worth it.

Euro 2012 qual. - Queiroz fired as Portugal coach

"Given recent events, the FPF directors decided unanimously to settle (end) Carlos Queiroz's contract with immediate effect," FRF president Gilberto Madail said.

"This decision has been communicated to Carlos Queiroz, who will receive the reasons for the decision first hand," he added.

The federation had given the coach, who had two years left on his contract, a one-month ban in late August but Portugal's anti-doping authority later extended that to six months.

Queiroz admitted exchanging harsh words with anti-doping doctors during their surprise visit to Portugal's training camp in May.

However, the coach said he was simply expressing his annoyance at having his players' rest disturbed and had vowed to appeal the ban at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Madail said the FPF will begin searching for a replacement to take charge of the team before next month's Euro 2012 qualifiers at home to Denmark and away to Iceland.

Portugal are second from bottom of Group H with one point from their first two qualifiers having lost 1-0 in Norway on Tuesday following a 4-4 draw at home to Cyprus on Friday.

Their poor start occurred with the team's key player, winger Cristiano Ronaldo, missing because of an ankle injury and with the banned Queiroz having to watch from the stands.

Agostinho Oliveira, who took charge as interim coach, said the controversy surrounding Queiroz was not the reason for the team's poor performance in their opening match.
