Any player can have a dip in performance. The better the player, the rarer the occurrence. So hopefully that's his last dip before the last 11 games. ;D The important thing is that it didn't cost us the points.

Big save in each half but thinks he's been a bit shaky lately.

Don't really know what he was doing in that build up to that Trent VAR incident. Just catch it.

And him and Van Dijk almost got caught again like they did against Fulham.

Van Dijk did exactly what he should have done against Fulham. If Alisson is slow or hesitant in coming out, just do your job as a defender and boot it away.

I'd argue the VAR bit was the opposite of shaky. Wasn't there tonight but in his before Spurs during the crosses warm up he was practising punches but when tracking the crosses was opting to put the low deep ones out behind the goal line.

In the spur of the moment he did exactly what he trains to do. He wasn't certain if he would be challenged, after tracking the deep cross, so played the percentages and put it out for a corner rather than risk contending for a catch or punching it out to one of theirs

I feel like he's not quite as aggressive in coming out as he was, which is what's leading to the miscommunications with VVD.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a tactical instruction from Klopp, similar to what he might be issuing to Keita, to rein back his natural instincts a little bit to cut out possible errors.

Thought that myself. Ali was not as assured even with his feet, which seems unnatural, so maybe he was instructed not to do much of that to avoid unnecessary risk.

His passing was a joy today. That save second half was great too as Hazard's connection was pretty shit so it ended up being awkward to deal with.

The keeper worries seem like such a long time ago now. Don't get me wrong he shits me up on occasion but what a fantastic keeper he is.  Him, Virgil, Fab and Firmino is one hell of a spine, especially when littered with magic everywhere else. Alisson is boss.

Alisson covered even the Hazard shot that rebounded off the post as well as could reasonably be expected of a goalkeeper. Even in the best period during the Benitez days, I dont think that the spine that we had was as strong overall as the one we now have and that is due in no small manner to Alisson's consistency. Yes, in midfield, Benitez's squad was stronger but overall, I dont think it was as good.

Most clean sheets in a season;

24 - Cech
20 - Reina
18 - De Gea, Hart, Alisson

Alisson has four games left to claim second place on his own.

They conceded 15 goals that season which is incredible really, not as good as 16 in a 42 game season though.

Worth pointing out that the league was probably easier then, Man City weren’t the club they are now and the top six included Everton and Bolton.

I didn’t see the game but I watched the highlights. The thing that always strikes me about him is that he is in the right position all the time. Rarely do you see a scrambling last ditch save or a worldie full lengthier dive to top it round the post. He can do it but he doesn’t need to. The 2 CBs in front of him obviously help that, I really think Joel has been excellent recently. But he has the uncanny knack of playing as a front foot keeper and closing the angles, even for long range efforts, and this has made it so hard for teams to score on us. Really believe that he and Virgil have been of equal worth to us as they just provide so much calmness at the back.

Impressive debut season

Still think with Karius we’d probably already be champions though  :scarf
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.
