Some hilarious picks in amongst the boring ones. Love Bob in his hat made from Wotsits. Actually has a look of Kevin Spacey about him which would probably come in handy.

Cheers  :thumbup

Think it's just Betty, Samie & Lobo who are owed picks now, then we can get cracking with the voting.

We've got 18 drafters, so in order to avoid uneven groups I propose we have six groups of three, with the six group winners progressing to the semis (2x3) before a 3-way final. Anyone else who fancies doing a write up, stick it in here and I'll add it to the voting thread.

Not my rodeo but think that might be stretching this out a touch far.

3 qualifying of 6 with top one or two progressing

3 or 6 way final

Think 4 votes if more than enough, just an opinion though :) :wave

That was my initial thought, I’d definitely prefer to do it this way and cut out the semi final stage. People tend to lose interest when the voting drags on for too long.

My only concern is the layout might be an absolute mess if we have 6 teams per heat… maybe we should leave out the write-ups? I could try to whip up a Betty-style presentation of each team instead, those worked nicely in the previous drafts.

Gonna work on some templates for presenting the cabinets in the voting threads this evening. No promises they'll be as good as Betty's from the previous drafts :D Depending on how long it takes I'll either have the first round of voting threads up tonight or tomorrow evening.

Just sat down with my morning cuppa and cast my votes…

Heat 1: Harold’s team is perhaps my favourite in the draft, would’ve liked to have squeezed a few of his Ministers into my own cabinet. My second vote went to Betty and his crazy blend of funny/serious picks, never a dull moment in that country! And my third vote went to noname and his team of good guys, would be a great country to live in I reckon. Would definitely be challenging right at the top of the global Fairness & Equality index in any case!

Heat 2: Voted for myself because I’m cheeky like that :D Buck Pete for the same reason I voted for Betty, some hilarious picks in there yet somehow they’d still do a good job. And Crimson Tank for having a cool as fuck team that he must’ve put a lot of thought into. I especially like the Kasparov pick as PM.

Heat 3: Went for Klippity, another team of good guys who’d make sure their country is a good one to live in. Although I imagine it’d be a bit strange with Attenborough narrating the cabinet meetings :D McrRed, because who wouldn’t want to see Bob Paisley, Jimi Hendrix, Malcolm X and Snoop Dogg together in the same room?! And Vishwa for somehow managing to squeeze Gandhi, Freddie Mercury and Hugh Hefner into the same cabinet, while also picking some interesting Indian people I hadn’t heard of before.

'Twas initially going to be just the winner, but I'm thinking a 6-way Royal Rumble would be fun....

Obviously the luck of the randomiser but I have to say I was a little disappointed with the split. Q1 & Q2 contained a lot of serious cabinets and Q3 was almost exclusively silly. Can't argue though.

No randomiser, the split was made based on the selection order. Think of the glory involved in being crowned the "Champion of the Middle of the Selection Order"!
