Do we have to say which position we've picked for, when we pick?
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Hmmm, dunno if that's good or bad

Apparently it’s estimated that over 100 billion people have ever lived on Earth… imagine the odds on someone taking your picks before your turn :D

Do we have to say which position we've picked for, when we pick?

Yeah include the position with the pick, should generate more discussion that way. But you’re free to change the position later. I don’t think we should be too strict with the rules, it’s only meant to be a bit of fun after all.

Actually glad to be towards the bottom on this one because I've no idea what I'm going to do and it'll be interesting to see who people are picking.
Sit down, shock is better taken with bent knees.

The first cabinet I put together was rather serious, full of historical and important figures, although I haven't changed it completely it has a very different feel to it now.

First in and it's all very serious ;D ;D ;D

Nikola Tesla - Minister of Energy

That said it's a great pick and one I'd considered for the role of Minister of Science.

Great first pick  8) And great choice for a Ministry. Tesla was cool as fuck.

I’m hoping we end up with a mixture of serious/funny picks. Be great to see how original people can be, picking people from different fields who might’ve made decent Ministers for one reason or another. Hope it doesn’t descend into a total shit-show though, there should be some semblance of logic behind the picks. Don’t want to see Roy Hodgson as someone’s PM ;D

Losing the General election to the 'Al-Zebabist Nation of Ooog' party is disappointing to say the least.

They were formidable opponents though.

Sorry for the delay. Mornings are the worst time for my pick to come up. I was also considering Hunter S for Prime Minister, as he was extremely politically minded, but he seemed too perfect for the health role  ;D

Ha ha Hunter S, belting pick and far more in line with where I'm heading ;D ;D ;D

Looking forward to seeing who you've got lined up. I can imagine we might be competing for a few roles.

Hmmm, dunno if that's good or bad

Unless it is a draft where there are only a few really obviously better choices than others.  Like a Sri Lanka Cricket draft and everyone wants Muralitharan.

I think my favourite place to be in the draft order would be last, as I like picking two picks at a time.

But in this draft, I don't think it will make any difference where people are positioned as the choices are endless.

Hunter S Thompson - Minister of Health

This is a guy who lived the most ridiculously extravagant lifestyle and yet still lived to 67. Sure, he blew his own brains out. But he also had his ashes blown out of a canon with fireworks for his funeral, while Dylan's Mr Tambourine Man was played. I can think of no safer pair of hands for this job in my cabinet.
Now that's precisely the sort of funny pick I'm hoping we see more of :D

Completely ridiculous, outrageous, preposterous and whatever else you want to call it. Yet somehow it makes perfect sense that you'd want a man who was famous for cheating death as your Minister of Health.
