Man City have definitely got easier fixtures at the start and end of the season than us (on paper).

But who gives a shit.

After last season we all know that it's probably gonna be us v them all season and fighting for the title.

And, as was shown last season, we're both mentally strong - especially at the season end run-in.

So does it really make any difference to us and them who we play when?

A little confused. LFC official site says all dates are subject to change (because of TV) but Independent and Mirror say the first week fixtures are all set in stone.

Anyone know please? Want to book train before it shoots up.

Exactly, I reckon neither team will lose more than a couple of games anyway. The title will basically be decided by who gets most points out of the two games between us and them.

Happy with that really.

Chelsea playing Utd on the Sunday before the Super Cup is also hilariously bad scheduling but I’m not complaining.

Just a shame City have a piss easy start as usual.

Two of the top six are from Manchester and three are from London so I think that probably helps keep them part to some extent.

Maybe....end of day of course have to play everybody twice anyway, but i am not a fan of what we have pulled in terms of how it all falls.

Not bad but it's a tricky run in. I'm glad this time we have the City game closer to the end of the season, it's our opportunity to beat them and make it count.

Fixtures not too bad for us really. Ok, last 3 games are tough on paper. But are Arsenal suddenly gonna have a great defence, i don't think so. Plus Chelsea are losing Hazard. He is irreplaceable. Also Newcastle will probably be safe by then and be around mid table i reckon.

18/4 - Newcastle (H)
25/5 - Brighton (A)

Yeah, that is pretty grim....... Although goodness only knows what state Newcastle will be in, and Arsenal could well have imploded by then

You mean Newcastle by then having been bought by some oil sheik who turned them into another "Chelsea City" and we play them as a title decider...? ;-)

Southampton away will be tricky as their new manager will have them fine tuned by then. But i dont think it matters who city play they are strong favourites against most teams on paper anyway. We might have a strong lead by then, plus if we beat them away in April that could prove pivotal.

Didn't the mancs withdraw from one of the cup competitions when they played the world club thingy? What's RAWKs take on us doing that?

I'd rather play the U23s and compete on all fronts.

Norwich's start and run in is absolutely grim. They've us, Chelsea and Man City in their first 5 games and a nasty away game against West Ham as well. Away games against Chelsea and Man City are 2 of their final 3. If they need points they've had it.

Okay-ish fixtures. Have to play every team twice and all that.. Probably going to need to be a few points clear after that game away to City, to win the league. Our run in compared to theirs is a nightmare.

Haha.  I don’t like the last three especially but we’ll just have to get it wrapped up early won’t we?  Anyway there’s no guarantee next season looks anything like this, don’t take it for granted that City are going to blitz it again.

They did but as I recall it was actually due to FA pressure, stupidly thinking it would help with whatever doomed bid for whatever tournament they were pushing at the time.  Nowadays Utd get all the blame for ruining the magic of the Cup.

I’m not up for withdrawing from anything to be honest, we’ve got a septuple to win.

I don't see either team posting as high a point tally this time round. City will do 90+. We are capable of it too. It will depend on our management of the many games we will likely have to play.

Was initially worried about the run-in. What I've learned from this season is the last ten games don't make a difference for Liverpool or city unless playing each other. Most teams have burned out, are practically relegated, busy with Champions league or have fucked off on holiday already. City literally had no opposition towards the end whoever they played.

It's Christmas and the head-to-heads where it will be decided.

Good last 3 games to be honest. Means we'll have easier games to get points in before then, so we should be well ahead and have the league won by then. City will have had to have gotten max points away to Newcastle & Arsenal as well as home to Chelsea before we even have to worry about it. Win it in 35 games and rest players for the defense of our CL title.

If we're not already well ahead, it means we'll likely struggle to win the league as City have 9 free points in their last 3 games and having a hard run of games won't make much difference either way.

Not the most amazing set of fixtures overall but not the worst.

It's daft to look at certain fixtures and say 'easy run in'' [consider that City lost to Leicester,Newcastle,Palace for instance]

Also it's not as bad as some of you make out. We had City,Arsenal,Chelsea and Spurs in the first two months of last season as well in between the games against Napoli,PSG and Belgrade.

Theres always a period where it's tougher than most. The December run in ''looks'' good considering our games in the WCC.

Good to start at home and its the first time we're ending the season away under Klopp. Last time was the debacle to Stoke under Rodgers

Exactly, the season is 38 games with many different possibilities such as shock results, injuries etc.
