Cannot go wrong with a bit of Breil.

Agreed. I've got a great Breil watch that has a rubberish strap but a fairly smart face. It's ideal for pretty much any occasion and goes with anything from a suit to flip-flops and shorts.

I also have an Armani watch, now about 8 years old, that is all silver and used mainly for smart occasions.

I'd love to get an Omega, some of the Seamaster range are superb. My girlfriend has agreed to buy me one, but I have to give her an engagement ring first! I'm tempted to just spend the money for the engagement ring on the Omega and be done with it!

Just bought myself a binary watch. Red LEDs though. £36 which is ridiculous for something that doesn't look too hot, but it's hard to find a nice one under £50.

Every birthday I email an Amazon wishlist to my family. Tonight I have spent an hour or two adding watches, so soon I hope my collection will have expanded!

Also just picked up a retro Casio piece:

Reminds me of being in Edinburgh 3 years ago, one of the lads managed to forget his watch (noticed about 5 mins after we set off and moaned a lot about it), money (noticed when we pulled into a petrol station just outside Edinburgh) & shoes (noticed when we got to the hotel).

Anyway he was so pissed off about not having a watch, not really helped by the fact that every 5 seconds, me and the other lad would ask him what the time was ;D, he decided he had to buy a watch so we sent him into some Jewlers to buy the cheapest watch possible. Only he actually went in and ask for the cheapest watch they sell, which made me nearly piss myself.

Thats my boring story of the day.

I got the CV2014 Carrera Racing with rubber strap.   http://replicaseries.com/product_info.php?products_id=1591 I have seen a few originals (in various duty free shops around the world) and the one I have is exactly the same.

It took 7 days to arrive and came trackable EMS from China. Do bear in mind that if customs open the package they will confiscate it. A friend bought an F1 Tag and a Rolex. Both excellent quality compared to the ones I've seen on stalls and in the various markets abroad.

It seems that if you want something that really looks the part you have to pay a little extra. The photos on the site really do represent the watches sold.

I have no affiliation with the website

The quality of replica watches is fantastic now. Some are even that good , only a dealer would know. (of course there a little bit more expensive than the average lucky lucky man fake).

Mine is exactly the same as the pictures, the two my mate bought also exact. Just be aware they are counterfeit goods and can be seized by customs. I doubt they would prosecute you but that depends how many you buy. You can buy the boxes and warranty cards etc bu I wouldn't, that's for the people that want to scam others and they deserve to be prosecuted.

It's binary. The top 4 LEDs are the hour, the bottom 6 the minutes, so:
1001
100100
Would be 9:36 (8+1 for the hours, 32 + 4 for the minutes).

I broke the strap on my binary watch, and on my Omega. I guess I should probably get them fixed.

Good people of RAWK: I need your advice! I want to buy a decent watch, something with the look of the Tag Heuer Grand Carrera watch attached below. Now I'm not rich enough/stupid enough to pay £3K for a damn watch however I like the look, in particular the way the red and black go together. I'll spend max £300.
