Another good move from Mainz, but a good save from Horn. Both these teams want to win this one late on.

:o :o that was scary, 2 decent saves from Müller saving Mainz now.

How did Werder Bremen end 2nd from bottom this year? I see they have 2 matches in hand but i will be surprised if they avoid relegation. What went wrong?

Can't score. Didn't replace Max Kruse and their defence is dreadful. This has been coming.

Losing Nik Füllkrug early on to a bad injury didn't help them. Awful home form, defence not performing at all and leaking goals alarmingly.

They have lost really big key players over the last 3 or so years too and replacments haven't been as good, so all that may be catching up on them too.

on the note of big german clubs doing shite kaiserlautern are 2 points off getting relegated out of the 3rd tier, they won the league 20 years ago and got to the CL QFs and now they could be the equivalent of a non league team next season!

Loved Mainz going all out for the winner  ;D  But they'll gladly take the point having been 2 nil down, especially away from home.

Hence, why I've never understood the argument that this league is boring. Take Bayern out of the equation and it truly is a competitive league where any big team is capable of going down as Stuttgart, HSV and Kaiserlautern have shown in recent years. Then you have Ingolstadt. Playing in the Bayernliga in 05/06, they finished 11th in the Bundesliga in 15/16 and are now are in Bundesliga 3

Yep. With a crowd, I'd suspect this would be closer. This will be a game where skill easily wins out

Just watched a bit for the first time without the crowds. Certainly a bit strange but football is much better than no football. Also think the teams with the biggest mentality ie us should be able to adapt the best to any change in circumstances.

Wasn’t there talk of pumping crowd noise into the grounds, might help for a bit of atmosphere, or was that knocked on the head?

On that Muller goal - is the offside given for the first phase, where he’s just off, or the second where he pokes the ball in and he’s arguably just beyond level when he does so?

Union Berlin have an interesting history, based in East Berlin, most of the fan base was from West Berlin until the wall was erected.

Surprised to learn that fact and a real strange one that. I've just checked where the stadium is and realised that for a month in 2002 I lived and worked near their ground. Kopenik is well inside the old East Berlin
