Sky blue and black is a lovely combination. I wish more teams would combine the two. Anyway, half of Uruguay and Argentina seem to have that. Names like Cavani, Lugano, Muslera, Carini, Fucile and Vecino don't lie!

I've decided to just let everyone play their adjacent drafter with the last two getting first-round byes due to a picking disadvantage:

Lastrador vs Drinks Sangria
Lawnmowerman vs Max_powers
Hazell vs Big Dick Nick
Vivabobbygraham vs Linudden
Tubby vs Sheer Magnetism
Xabi Art vs Adz LFC

First round byes:
Fucking Appalled
Sarge

Lobo and Sarge will play each other in the quarter final as adjacent drafters.

The other three are obviously:

Game 1 vs Game 2
Game 3 vs Game 4
Game 5 vs Game 6

Appeals should be made ahead of 1 pm GMT today or the draw is set

I'm thinking about a fancy way to resolve a tie that does not involve pelanties. Any suggestions? I'm thinking the highest combined number of PL appearances wins a tie if level?

I think that's fair given you've kindly stepped in for the absent draft runner. Lobo gets a bye despite having one of the best teams, but it's not unfair given his drafting position.

I don't mind the appearances tie-breaker, makes it go to the side with more longevity in the PL which fits the draft theme nicely. Gareth Barry might win a game on his own.

11 players not one. I haven't even done the numbers so I have no idea. That being said, I think Alisson for example hasn't clocked up that many appearances so he'd cancel Gaz Baz out.

In future, if anyone has a draft idea, float it around, make any changes you fancy and then make a thread with all rules bolded underlined and getting stuck to from the minute the sign up is complete and picks ready to go. Then repeat the voting rules in all relevant threads so nobody can complain. Anyone that doesn't like it can do one.

We're a bit acephalous at the moment. Thankfully Lin stepped in and we got to finish the draft, but it kind of looked like it was about to blow up for a moment. Running a draft is no joke and you have to be quite clear with the ruling before it starts. A lesson for all ya kids wanting to start your own drafts in the future.

Fair comment - the best drafts I've participated in have had clear rules, clear changes and a draft runner who whether participating or not has been hot on reaching out to people. If we do end up doing that seeding draft thingy I will gladly bin my day job to ensure it runs smoothly, no one does anything in the last week before Christmas anyway.
