Still there and runs over the Fairy Glen.
Yup and what a sorry state that Glen is these days :( Used to love it there. The bridge was our start/finish line for Cross Country competitions at our school.

Making it impossible to drive a full circle around the park at the point is a fucking nuisance though - I forget every time I go there and want to go from Aigburth to Toxteth the scenic way ;)

These are the type of old photos I love..1960 somewhere in Everton courtesy of Angelcake.

"Frances Pulford, pictured, 72 years old, emptying a bucket of washing-up water down a gutter in the street where she lives. There is no sink in any of the nine houses. There is no sink because there weren't any drains, only 1 cold water tap for each house. 1960 Liverpool"

That pic has blew my fucking mind mate. The depredation and dereliction yet someone always thinks those kids need a swing and a roundabout.
Amazing.

Assuming that Bold St pic was taken in December, those kids were at the cusp of any old winter to one they’d never see the likes of again.

I remember the winter of 1962/63 well as I was just ten. I still went to school and Liverpool got off relatively lightly to other parts of the country.

And applause to Medellin for unearthing such great photos.

Did the houses just fall down or did the Luftwaffe bomb them? Won't have been bought by Everton because thats Redshite behaviour.

That bottom one is horrendous! Brings back memories of taking the kids out for a swim near Egremont on the 1970s. I went in first and rapidly turned back just before I butted a floating turd.

That large building has Palace on the side - and this is where Gulley would have sailed in, identified the exact year of the cars on the promenade and the date on the can of Foster's floating with all the other detritus floating in, I assume, the Mersey.

I reckon Rob's right, it is New Brighton. Looks like the Adventureland arcade to me rather than tunnel shaft. I was eating chips in that very shelter a couple of weeks ago, pretty sure.

It's definitely not either of the tunnel shafts and I think the New Brighton spot is right.

Definitely New Brighton, I'd say THIS is the closest you'd get to a modern shot.  It's the Marine Lake before they did up all the front, maybe as part of the "New Wallasey Regeneration" stuff I vaguely remember.

As with the Birkenhead shot, I'm sure it's from a series of photos that was trying to make some sort of point, the same person did similar in Liscard too.  Wasn't actually that litter-strewn.

Was a shithole still, like!

Found these, loving the fashion.
