Yeah he's a curious type, isn't he?
He makes very good reflex saves, but on the next turn he fumbles it.

Thought it was going to be one of those nights at Anfield; when the opposition goalie has a worldie!

Never rated him before, though he's done well the last couple of games. The smiles were for Trent I think. I'd rather see that than the screaming toddler-like behaviour of many other goalies (one coming up quite soon!)

A side note, lovely gesture by the Kop to cheer once Ramsdale got back up after the Jota collision.

Brilliant 2nd half, we absolutely suffocated them for 45mins, they simply couldn't breathe for a second. The only surprising thing was that we weren't already 5 nil up when Salah finally made it 3. Jota could've had a hat trick!

Glad to see Taki also get on the scoresheet.

Note to Arteta, you can sit back down now don't bite off more than you can chew!

Fantastic result. Great showing in the end after the lacklustre start. We thank Arteta for igniting things - we all needed it - even those at home watching on telly. Win was a must.

Hands up who misses Gini? I do terribly. Worked it out in the end but he's a big hole.

Dashing frantically for Mane who's already a little wide, owing to his heavy first touch, and for whom the angle is already covered by the goalie, only to leave Salah wide open for a tap in.

Great result but I’m most pleased with the control we showed in our performance. Much more solid in midfield and the team were very disciplined tracking runners. I have to remind myself that Arsenal are the English Porto but they have the players going forward to hurt us like Brighton did. Klopp has clearly spent the break making adjustments and hopefully we’ll see the same suffocating control against Southampton.

Not bothered what team we put out against Porto. A few players need game time like Konate but I’d use the full squad and take off any starters after an hour. Simply can’t afford any more injuries.

Special shout to Ox who really stepped up today and Kostas for bringing his energy. Also good to see Thiago getting up to speed playing the quarterback role. We’ll need him against the bus parkers we face next - Southampton, Everton, Wolves and Villa.

I did notice Arsenal tried the same inswinging corner tactic against us, but we seemed to react better. Likewise, I just feel Thiago brings that extra level of control to our play. Trent didn't seem to get forward as much in the first half as he ddi against West Ham, but in the second half we seemed to up the press and it suffocated them. I did notice they had one counter attack in the first half very similar to West Ham where we tried to win the ball back, failed and they have a good opportunity on goal. Think there may have been another one similar and Fabinho made a great last ditch slide tackle. Now I'm sure they are coached not to take the foul, but it does seem to be happening fairly frequently.

He only had to make those reaction saves because he spilled fairly simple saves in the first place.

The save where he was smirking after making it was going miles over anyway. He somehow made being a bit crap look spectacular.

There’s a good keeper in the making there but bloody hell he is all Hollywood isn’t he. Make a basic save and go high fiving your defenders,

when he clattered into Jota, and rolled around like he’d broke his leg, then got up and took the goal kick.

The best goalkeepers are the ones that make the difficult look easy, not the other way round

A great performance! Beautiful goals and big chances that could have resulted in more goals. All goals had such quality and if I highlight one of them a bit more, then it's Salah's. We moved the ball with such speed over long distances and it was quality touches all the time. Have another look at it. I know I will. We needed those three points and we got them. Can only hope Jota is OK. Good to see Morton on the pitch for the final minutes. I expect him to play vs Porto. Maybe not the entire game, but for sure he will play some part.
