The xfm shows are better than the podcasts in my opinion, although their all great, glad to have them back.

Can't wait to see the HBO video podcast series, even though it's old content.

Couple of great Karl quotes in that one. Look out for what he says when they ask him what he would do if the world was going to end.

Can't wait for the animated podcasts and Karl's trips to the seven wonders of the world on Sky One next year. Gonna be great.

Series 1, episode 1.

The XFM stuff is available separately, but I'd just follow the podcasts right from the start.

i'd download the xfm shows, it seems more natural whereas the podcasts includes rehashed stuff from the radio show.

True. The podcasts are still funny, them and Karl just talking but yeah, the old XFM shows are the best. Karl coming up with the likes of 'Rockbusters', 'Songs of Phrase' and 'Monkey News' (listening to one today, where a chimp wins the London to Brighton Bikeride on a tricycle) is genius. Things about them shows is, they don't sound like radio hsows at all, and professionally, it doesn't sound like it'd be a good show - them talking over each other, Ricky's annoying laugh, dead air - but they're so funny it doesn't matter at all.

Plus the XFM shows also include Ricky and Steve's biggest fan - Richard Anderson. aka "Dicky Anderson", "Dickers", "Ricky Dicky, the little diddler", "Dicky, docky doo", "The Dick Machine"

There's a quality site called Pilki FM that streams the XFM shows 24/7 - http://www.pilkifm.co.uk/

PP is from the Podcasts mate. And was a genuine fan of the show, whereas The Dick Machine just used to E-mail into the XFM show every week telling them how appalling and shoddy the show was.

eg. "Ricky, thanks for a really forgettable two hours of radio. I think I'll spend the time next week counting my feet."

Full list of his correspondance here - http://www.pilkipedia.co.uk/wiki/index.php?title=Richard_Anderson

Love them. In fact I started listening to random XFM Shows and went back to the podcast series. Hilarious.

The new series is alright- Society's one of the funniest ones ever actually, but the rest are a bit 'meh'.

Can't wait for the travel series or the animations  ;D

When's the Human Body one out? Answered above  :P

Anyone heard on one of the XFM shows, when Karl is giving Rockbusters clues and Ricky keeps interrupting him, karl snaps and tells him to 'shut up' in a really agitated voice? Always makes me laugh that.

That's probably why I like the XFM ones better because he used to show some emotion in those, like when he used to laugh sometimes at Ricky's jokes or having arguements with Steve, whereas in the Podcasts, he's deadpan all the time, like he's playing a part.

Yeah I like the XFM shows for that reason. Earlier on he didn't seem THAT thick and he used to laugh and stuff. In fact I'm sure on one of the later podcasts Karl laughs and Gervais is really suprised and says, "wow, I made Karl laugh!".

Yeah Karl laughs quite a few times during the XFM ones where as he never seems to in the podcasts. I listened to the podcasts (only started around the summer) and loved them and now I'm listening through the XFM ones. Enjoying these probably more than I did the podcasts and Karl is obviously more himself. I'm about half way through series 2. Fucking class.

Another difference between the Podcasts and the XFM shows is that on XFM Karl is always taking the piss out of Steve - mainly his appearence & saying he looks like a freak, and Ricky stirring it up between them. Not so much of them two at odds on the Podcasts. Shame, cos it's fucking brilliant.

Karl on Steve - "I'd think you'd be approached [by prostitutes] a lot because they tend to go for people who look like they haven't got much chance."

Classic.
