Anyone else find it difficult to watch any games or highlights from that season? I mean we had some of the most amazing games in our recent history in the 2nd half of that season but knowing how it ended, I don't know, can't bring myself to watch.

I'm like that with the 08/09 Season - a case of 'what could have been' had we kept that quality side full of promise together, added quality & some strength in depth where it obviously needed, and gone on to win some silverware. Instead, we had G&H royally fucking up the club and dealing with the fallout with that - including the weakening of the squad and its breakup in the following season or two. In fact G&H and the fight for the club is probably more a reason why I find it difficult to watch matches from that time.

For the 13/14 Season - I can more easily watch the matches (Chelsea game apart); seeing them again is like it was all some sort of a 'bonus season' - a welcome surprise of sorts that we unexpectedly did challenge. Being a season or two 'ahead of schedule' as it were - and came so, so close... maybe the 'pain' / 'twinges of sadness' is somehow less?

Still hurts mind, and fully understand why some of us don't like to watch those two seasons back again.

Football is the global game of the people - to claim ownership of it in this way is wrong - and especially unfair on those who make & provide their dedicated fan-made videos for free; for all to see & enjoy.
