Poor Frankfurt. Always going to be a challenging season for them, losing their efficient striker force.

Imagine us in 2015 but without Sterling as well.

Muller will end up having a better career as a midfielder than Iniesta

You've got to be AWWYC  ;D

Muller's first touch was absolutely top class for the goal.

Yeah, I'd expect Bayern will treat it as a training match and start resting players

I’d imagine that if we wrap the league up fairly early many of our matches will be next seasons pre season.

Yeah I think there are benefits to integrating players into the mix rather than necessarily throwing everything at a points total

This game could have been any scoreline. Frankfurt missed two really good chances to pull one back before the 5th went in.

Always had a soft spot for Frankfurt so I'm disappointed to see them decline how they have done this season, still think Hutter is a good coach so I hope they don't panic about this terrible run they have been on and sack him.

Today's 3 matches:

First up it's Schalke 04 vs Augsburg

Teams:
Schalke 04:
Schubert – Kenny, Sané, Nastasic, Oczipka – McKennie, Serdar – Caligiuri, Schöpf – Gregoritsch, Matondo.

Augsburg:
Luthe – Framberger, Jedvaj, Uduokhai, Max – Khedira, Gruezo, Löwen – Richter, Niederlechner, Vargas

Later:
FSV Mainz 05 vs RB Leipzig

After later - another Rhineland derby:
FC Köln vs Fortuna Düsseldorf

Won't see much of the first game, but as a Mainz fan I'll be cheering for Schalke  8) And later I'll be cheering very loudly for Effzeh.

giving up the early goal was worst case scenario for Schalke, Augburg will be happy to just sit back and absorb now, it's not like Schalke have a lot of lock pickers.

that may be Schalke's best hope, trying to spring Matondo, that was a really nice run and effort.

Exactly right, creating chances is one of the things they're worst at. Struggling like mad to get anything going.

As a stoopid yank I want to rate Weston McKennie.....but he really struggles to pass the ball further than a couple yards.  Schalke as a whole have been diabolical but the last two performances have been poor from McKennie.
