Not sure why people are happy about this. They’ve just secured the best goalkeeper in the world for six more years. If they manage to go and sign the best English CB and the best English CM for around £130 million then they’re absolutely set for next season. Especially if they then offload their main striker and rely on the best English forward.

Yep. Pretty funny. He's going to age horribly as well, infact he already looks shocking enough in the last 18 months as it is. Shay Given on a bad day.

Also funny to see them all wanking over a Wan Bissaka slide tackle yesterday, he gave the ball to Inter with a shocking pass, in Inter's half which then led to him running back and giving away a corner. What a hero.

It's extraordinary. They are either entirely oblivious to the direction of travel in essential keeper skillsets or think they can ride it out for a couple of seasons and aren't worried about having an unsaleable asset on the books for 4 years earning wages no one is willing to match.

20 years ago I would never in my wildest dreams have believed they could become this badly run. The competitive advantages they have squandered and continue to squander really do boggle the mind.

It would take a lot to convince me that back in 2015, someone at Real didn't deliberately delay the De Gea registration to allow the deal to collapse. I think they realised he was a poor fit and to save face, tried to blame the Mancs.

Maybe Woodward is schizophrenic and does bid against himself?

the announcers on the ESPN broadcast were going crazy about him every single time he made a slide tackle. Which of course begs the questions why did he need to make 3-4 slide tackles in a game?
