What a fucking gobshite Nick is...

Knows his centre backs though. Looks like you found a reasonable replacement Robert.

Going to need some options on Neeskens' best 4 year period considering he was in two World Cup finals in 74 and 78 and won three European Cups in 71, 72 and 73. I guess his time at Barca wasn't too successful trophy-wise, so going 70-74/71-75 might make the most sense.

70-74. Ajax success leading up to the 74 World Cup would've been absolute peak Neeskens IMO.

Yeah, makes the most sense.

Whose pick is it now? Phil jumped in and confused the hell out of me.

Robbie again I think? Philanthropist needs to replace Bobby Moore but crack on.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

If we're on the way down then I need to make a another pick. Not sure how many picks Phil is behind at this point!

That's a shame, I'd pegged Bergomi for the right back slot. Still, I'm sure there must have been another top notch right back who also played centre back at some point.

Been doing some extra research into the early 80's Brazil side, fuckin' hell! Serginho was a shite striker wasn't he? Almost Richarlison like.

Yeah, it gets tougher when you get into the more obscure/slightly average players. The only thing I can find on your guy is that he was a 'Fox In The Box'  :D

Giving Phil 'til half past before I take my next pick btw.

Trying to find a Riedle type player without taking the piss! To my mind I need a physical, tough striker, good in the air but under 6 feet and not blessed with or reliant on great pace. Is that fair?

Got a couple of potentials but they’re a little taller or faster.

Was Chapuisat more of a second striker? Can’t remember a huge amount about him and not a lot of material out there!

I wouldn't worry too much about height, unless you're picking a midget  :D

I think of him as an old fashioned goal poacher. Like you say, good in the air, good in the box. Not blessed with pace, but knew how to be in the right place at the right time.

And yeah, Chapuisat was more of a SS, though could play centre forward too. A bit of an all-rounder with no huge stand out abilities IMO. Decent at dribbling, reasonably skilled type. Definitely not physical though.

You don't have to simply zero in on that one Dortmund team though. Hitzfeld also had Elber and Jancker up front in two of his Bayern teams.

You should be more worried by the fact you're starting to think like me.  :D

Big Willy! Samie’s second favourite right back, after Shark Cock.

You turn up to an all time draft with Willy Sagnol on your arm, they're gonna go: What are you doing here?!
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Nothing wrong with a bit of Willy.

Although I am struggling in this draft - due to a combination of not having much time and being a but clueless.
We have to change from doubter to believer. Now.
