You do realize that he has not had a shot on goal in his last 51 appearances right?
I didnt say who would score first though did I, us or them?  ;)

It keeps being said every week but this should be the one Sterling gets time in. A game we are likely to leave out Suarez and Gerrard, we need something different on the bench, and its at home which should help him.

Haha just had a flashback to one of those song idea threads that someone came up with just after he signed him. Can't remember it all now but the song was:

Consider the Shelf

Aurelio in midfield  :o

For tonight I would, he'd provide good cover for Robinson and Spearing would learn a thing or two. I honestly think he could play the role that Danny Murphy does equally as well, if not better. He'd actually be a great signing for someone like Fulham to play in that role, if they could get him on a pay as you play(rotate him with Danny, get more out of both of 'em).

Will be interesting to see who Kenny puts out. Like everyone, would like to see Sterling given a run out. Think Gerrard, Suarez and Bellamy who would probably be rested anyway, all saved for the final, don't give the FA the chance to get Suarez suspended and don't risk any muscle niggles for Gerrard. Probably should start Coates with Skrytle tonight.
Other than that who ever is playing should try and step up to the plate and earn that starting place for Saturday.
Reckon we should beat these easily, and hope that horrible c*nt Dempsey gets the red card he should of got in the away game. Fucking knobhead!

Thing is though, Coady's done nothing to deserve a go, he's gone backwards this season if anything. We'd be better off putting Shelvey alongside Spearing and playing Suso in the advanced role, if we're going to give a youngster a chance, he's much more deserving. A pairing of Spearing and Coady would struggle to retain possesion and set any kind of tempo imo.

True.. but i like Coady and think he just needs a chance.
A Suso cameo tonite would be fantastic.. he's came on leaps and bounds
recently.. Hope KK takes a leaf outta Ginsoaks book and has a bench
fulla Attacking options tonite and maybe one Defender in case.

As much as I think Kenny might spring a surprise on us by fielding one or two youngsters, he isn't going to field an entire squad of kids.  He will still want to win the game and the best way to blood youngsters is by putting them alongside experienced players.  A midfield consisting of Coady, Sterling and Suso right now could get eaten alive and what would that do for their confidence.  And that's not meant in a disrespectful manner, because I think all 3 could have huge futures for us.  You just need to find the right balance.  By all means play Sterling, but ensure he has experience around him.

i agree.. i'd play an almost full strength team tonite.
I cant see any harm in having Suso n Sterling sitting waiting
on the bench.. should we be 3 up.. throw them on for the last 15.

to be honest the only reason I do not like him is when we played them at their ground in December, him and Bellamy got in a little argument. From then on in I just never liked him.

I wouldn't bracket 'The Shelf' in the level headed category yet. Hangs around the box too much for my liking. Needs it drilling in to him to cut that out. Otherwise Kenny should throw the book at him.

I really hope Gerrard doesn't play.  No reason to.

to be honest mate I'd start Suarez and Gerrard, then bring them off at half time.

Yes you risk injury, but Suarez needs games to continue his current form and Stevie needs them to keep his fitness up.
