There is only way this passes the senate and that is with 50+1 vote in the senate which mean they have get rid of the filibuster which has designed by segregations and used to block civil rights passage. It was also used to block 2013 gun reform with Manchin-toomey deal that died in the senate with 55 votes

It probably tomorrow. Both Harris and Padilla resigned from the positions of senator and Secretary of state yesterday and Harris is swearing in Ossoff and Warnock tomorrow afternoon around 430 pm est. Guess is Padilla is tomorrow too as it doesnt seem he was swore in today.

The Dems can change the senate rules to make 50 votes with 50 votes from every Dem Senator and Harris voting for it, Just like Harry Reid changed the rules for All non Scotus judges and Mitch changed to rules for the SCotus

I don't particularly agree with the 200,000 flags, they could have done something better with that money. Nonetheless, as Liverpool supporters we must express our empathy with Joe & Kamala, not having a boss parade is rotten.

The police officer who ushered the mob away from the senate chamber doors during the insurrection has been given a promotion to Deputy House Sargeant at Arms and is going to escort Kamala Harris at the inauguration. Good to see good things happening to good people again!

Seems like he'll be the 'acting deputy sarge at arms' so he'll get to do the escorting at the event but won't be giving the job, which is a shame as considering the Sargeant at Arms is on 172k/yr I imagine the deputy gig wouldn't be too bad either.
