Fantasy Premier League 2016/17
« on: July 19, 2016, 11:45:35 am »
The site is up - and so it begins

This year FPL has a new layout but basically everything else is the same. Another year of rage at benching the wrong players, agony as your captain blanks for the 10th week in a row, despair as your transfers prove useless and the players you dropped pick up form and hopelessness when your defenders concede goals in the last 10 mins, leaving you bare, broken, defeated and fragile.

Happy Fantasy everyone. Join the RAWK leagues!

9m for Mane. Thought he would have been cheaper

As expected, Vardy and Mahrez prices have rocketed

They've really forced people to make tough decisions with their pricing scheme this year. After the amount of good cheap options last year (alli, payet, Mahrez, vardy, ighalo etc) they don't seem to want people to get points so easy.

I really wanted Aguero and de bruyne and maybe Hazard but it really doesn't leave you many options after that.

RAWK leagues

Red and White Kop: 36558-10814

RAWK H2H #1: 36558-10907

RAWK H2H #2: 36558-10918

RAWK H2H #3: 36558-10927

RAWK H2H #4: 36558-10932

RAWK H2H #5: 36558-10941

Please don't join every H2H league, they have limited amount of players (except #1).

Not letting me enter any of those codes mate. Saying codes arent valid

Unless the leagues haven't been renewed yet, which is what is happening I guess if the site has only been opened a couple of hours

i think that's the case, it wont let me renew private leagues yet. Anyway, if you were in some of those leagues last year i think it should enter you back into them automatically, But yeah might take some time

There was also another Rawk league last season which had a lot of teams entered into it (called Rawk 2015/16 League) which I've just renewed and re-titled Rawk 2016/17 League.

Last seasons teams will automatically be entered but if anyone else wants to join it's code is: 14221-9088

Defenders and keepers very reasonable. Mids and strikers horribly priced. Some good value ones out there though.

Maybe it is just because I had gotten used to the earlier layout but the old one was more sophisticated and classy looking. This one has an amateurish UI.

Yeah, I was automatically entered. But it didn't happen with the H2H leagues.

I could be wrong but it looks like whoever initialized the league last year has to click "renew your leagues" to get them back up and running again. So Sir P did you start those last year? If not do we know who did?  And if so did you renew them?  and if you did renew them does that generate  new codes perhaps? and why is my coffee always cold and my beer always warm and that chick always does have a boyfriend? Since we are searching for answers here.......

^ Well that's a bit of a pain in the ass new thing by the the game.

I'm in Terry's league from last year and got renewed so that's a good thing. Was in both last year so maybe the original will come back to life as well. Or someone knows a mod who knows a mod who knows who started it or something like that-that was a big and fiercely contested league. Not by me though, I was pages back.  ;D  Pages back on Terrys too, to be fair.  Plus we will need some h/h's for sure.

That's exactly what I had to do to get the other Rawk league up and running again, so if there's anyone new wanting to join and missed my post up the page the code to join is: 14221-9088.

When do they update player rosters?

Allen is still and LFC player.
I watched a YouTube video and decided that Paul Konchesky looked like a player.

Trying to pick out a team, its not easy picking strikers as most teams play one up front these days and there seems to be a lack of quality strikers who are guaranteed to get you goals.

Some steals in the midfield,
Cabaye set piece taker for palace at 6.0
Ibe 5.5 - will be involved a lot and hopefully assists and the odd goal

Striker
Andre Gray 6.5 - great finisher and Burnley will be relying on him for goals to keep them up

Matip may also be a good shout as he adds in goals and hopefully this season we have no comical goals conceded and we keep a few more clean sheets.

Any suggestions on goalkeepers? gone for Lloris at the moment due to a solid defence and signing Wanyama.
