Such heart. Mane embodies what we all appreciate in a Liverpool player. And that's rare to see in an African player (I say that as a Brit with African heritage). He's frustrating at times but always shows, always looking to ask questions, trying to drive us on. What a player.

Haha! It was more in reference to even when he's not quite at it. Last season he was in woeful form around this time but still managed to deliver moments like Burnley away. Point being that he's always involved. Good or bad.

I'm such a pessimist that as soon as he shaped to shoot I was thinking of David Ginola and 1994. Even if he'd scored it was giving them another opportunity to get the ball into our box - like you say, just hit the corner flag and kill the game. Pessimistic and joyless

His finishing was clearly off but I thought he was fantastic throughout. Put in a shift defensively, linked up play really well and burned past anyone who tried to tackle him. I don't think their right-back came over the halfway line all game!

Arguably the entire team had an off day in front of goal yesterday. But someone should really tell Mane that he needs to shoot between the sticks. Really am finding it hard to believe that we were not 6-0 up halfway the 2nd half and almost got eliminated if it wasn't for yet another brilliant Allison save.

We really need to become lethal in front of goal if we are ever to land our 1st ever PL title.

After a quick start for goals...he has been quite dry for some time. Better to miss good chances than to have no chances though.
