Stevie is by far the most accomplished footballer I've ever seen.  he could quite easily have been the best RB in the world, for example.

when you think of other greats in the game, how many could you say would have been able to play at the top level in a totally different position?  I can't think of any.

Honestly, stories about SG's links to the "underworld" have been circulating for years so it's not like it's a huge surprise?

You don't have to try for those links to be fair,  if you come from a football + boxing background.  Plenty of those that don't make it,  especially in the latter,  get offered opportunities. High chance the contacts are something he's grown up with rather than sought out.
