No, jazz. You fear jazz. You fear the lack of rules, the lack of boundaries. Oh look, it's a fence. But, no, it's soft.

A crazy statement as most of us know.

Newcastle have dodged all kinds of bullets this season. Worst team in the league in expected points, expected goals and their defence is nowhere near as good as the numbers suggest. Need huge investment this summer otherwise they're fucked next season.

Bruce deserves the sack he’s been gutless today.

These dinosaur managers like Bruce and Dyche are clueless when it comes to playing the likes of City who will just keep the ball.

Managers like Nuno and Farke have had a proper gameplan (and Solskjaer has managed to a few times in beating them or Lampard the other day) and Rafa's Newcastle beat them there last season.

Okay they'll beat these teams on talent more often than not but it's the complete surrender from the start.

Someone needs to get that Saint-Maximim out of there, he's way too good for the Geordies.

Can someone explain to me why his stats have been so average throughout his career and why he's lurched from one shite club to another, because he looks brilliant every time I see him (which, admittedly, isn't very often)? What am I missing?

He's only competing against De Bruyne and David Silva for a gig.

But this is because they don't care about their youth system and don't know what quality they had coming through..

when is the draw?

It has already been drawn I think. According to the FA Cup twitter accounts these are the semi finals:

Man Utd - Chelsea
Arsenal - Man City

He needs to leave then.

They've spent a couple of seasons bedding him, presumably with the idea of him replacing David Silva in mind. There isn't any excuse for them to not play him more regularly next season, particularly when they have other areas they need to strengthen more urgently than midfield.

On paper, he probably has. But they’ve been incredibly lucky to have the points they’ve got so far. He’s clearly piggy backed on tactics and systems from Rafa, and when it hasn’t worked it’s been pretty clear. Also don’t think it’s particularly wild to think Rafa would have done a lot better with Saint-Maximin and would have got a lot more out of Joelinton.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Bruce spent 60 mill on Joelinton and Saint Maxim.

Rafa had to sell players to get Rondon in on loan.

Last season, Perez scored 12 Premier League goals, Rondon 11 Premier League goals.

This season Joelinton has 2 goals and Saint Maxim has three. Shelvey is their top goalscorer with 5. They simply don't score enough, the players they have don't score goals at this level. Too many very good Championship players, not enough decent Premier League players.

Almirón doesn't suit this league, he looks like a Serie A player to me.

I think Ashley knew he had to back Bruce after sacking Rafa to keep the fans from protesting. Of course it didn't work but Rafa never got to spend that much money.

Don’t think he sacked Rafa he was out of contract and went to China ?

All anyone has to do is take a look at both CV’s to see who is the better manager let’s not listen to Murphy that bloke talks about Hodgson as if he is Cruyff.

Ashley doesn’t need to do anything to keep the fans from protesting ;D He could wipe his dick on a Newcastle shirt and throw it in Alan Shearers face and they wouldn’t protest.

The football from Newcastle is meant to better than under Benitez, I've heard people say. I don't just see it.

And Saint-Maximini is playing like an ass.

As someone who has unfortunately watched every minute of this season, I can confirm that it's absolutely shit and it's the worst football I have watched in 36 years of watching us!

We have been lucky as hell and our player of the season is Dubravka by a mile!

Definitely up for this one.

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita, Ward, van Aanholt, Milivojevic, Dann, Kouyate, Ayew, Townsend, Zaha, McArthur, Cahill

Subs: Hennessey, Meyer, Sakho, McCarthy, Woods, Tavares, Mitchell, Pierrick, Riedewald

Burnley XI: Pope, Taylor, Cork, Tarkowski, Mee, Brownhill, McNeil, Westwood, Pieters, Bardsley, Vydra

Subs: Peacock-Farrell, Jensen, Long, Thompson, Dunne, Thomas, Goodridge
