i dont think you want to get into a Raiders benefited from bad reffing battle...that 'late hit' on Mahomes  :o

One thing we did learn; just lob it up high against the Raiders secondary. Same old shit for 20 years now.

I'm a niners fan, and thought the reffing was poor on both sides, but that the Raiders definitely benefited from some less than consistent application of the holding rule, and got away with a lot that was very close to the line which stopped that TD pass.  I also thought there was marginal forward momentum of Mahomes' arm in the fumble, which would have then reversed the call to incomplete pass, but it was so difficult to rule, I don't mind the onfield refs getting the pass on that one and sticking with their original decision.

are they moving him to QB?

seems like a good deal for miami to me. steelers are likely to be quite shite now this year so it should be a half decent pick and they never seemed to know what to do with him anyway.
Agreed. He doesnt solve Pit D issues and that pick likely to be a top 15, possibly top 10 pick. Only way I think that trade really good for Pit is if pick is in 20s(which means they make playoffs)

Interesting opening weeks to the season just for the QBs alone:

- Luck retires
- Darnold (ill) and Foles (injured)
- Roethlisberger and Brees potentially injured (Wentz also left the Phi-Atl game, but came back)
- Cam Newton seemingly unable to throw

-Now with Roethlisberger out for the season
-Brees out for about 6 weeks
-And Jets' backup QB Trevor Siemian out with a gruesome broken ankle

Tough season for the QBs and we're only in Week 2!
Oh, these sour times.

No one admires resilience when you were just plain wrong all along - that's just twattishness.

Minkah Fitzpatrick traded to the Steelers for a 2020, 1st round pick.

Miami drafted him 11th and this pick will probably be around there, if not better. This is good value for Miami, although again I think you want to keep your better young players in a rebuild. It also makes me wonder if the Steelers agreed this prior to Roethlisberger being ruled out. First time the Steelers haven't had a 1st round pick since 1967

Rough week for QBs from the 2004 draft class.
Big Ben out for the season.
Eli benched and might be done as a starter.
And Philip Rivers hasn't successfully impregnated his wife this week.  So far.

Potentially add Cam Newton to the injured QB list

Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter
Carolina GM Marty Hurney told reporters that Cam Newton informed the team of the aggravated foot injury after last Thursday night's loss to the Buccaneers. The team does not have a solid timeline for when Newton will be able to play, saying the Panthers "will see how it goes."

Doesn't matter who I support, makes no difference who he plays for, being accused of something doesn't equate to being guilty of that. Simple as that

His best days are past him at this point. If I was the Panthers, I would let him walk when his contract runs out and start rebuilding.

I really fucking hope the Eagles can get him. Our secondary is the only glaring weakness for us so Ramsey puts us in Superbowl contention I think.

Not aging well with latest news on him. Not sure how he can be kept off exempt list now.

Last night's game was the usual TNF debacle between those two teams. Stinky.

If its true then he should get everything he deserves. My point was to wait before making a decision on whether it's true or not.

Antonio Brown released by New England :lmao

Also

Field Yates@FieldYates
If Antonio Brown does not wind up receiving his $9M signing bonus from the Patriots (the first $5M was due to be paid on Monday), he will go from a $30M guarantee in March to $9M guaranteed to just $158,333 made for 2019.

as I understand it Rosenhaus has been doing this job a very long time so he's probably not all that arsed, even if this is a pretty extreme situation.

he can always go home and count his probably massive bank balance too.

Looks like i did the right thing & decided to go to bed instead of watching that game, seems there was a load of penalties too especially first half.
