Welcome to Liverpool! Looks a smart, no-risk signing.

Also, what a name!

Cool, hope he is that guy that can restore some confidence to the back 4. Got a good feeling about this one. :)
"I always say the same thing. What is the difference between 4-3-3 and 4-5-1? Only whether you play the wingers deep or high. Then if you press the other team they will play deep, 4-5-1. And if you cannot press them because they are stronger than you, they'll play 4-3-3. People talk about systems, but maybe they don't know a lot about systems.

Stupid feckin Skyrim song!

Oh, there once was a hero named Ragnar the Red
Who came riding to Whiterun from ole Rorikstead

And the braggart did swagger and brandish his blade
As he told of bold battles and gold he had made

But then he went quiet, did Ragnar the Red
When he met the shield-maiden Matilda, who said;

"Oh, you talk and you lie and you drink all our mead
Now I think it's high time that you lie down and bleed!"

And so then came clashing and slashing of steel
As the brave lass Matilda charged in, full of zeal

And the braggart named Ragnar was boastful no more-
When his ugly red head rolled around on the floor!

Its epic.  :D

Looks like a very accomplished CB. Nicely composed on the ball, athletic blocking, and good in the air.
He seems to play LCB, same as Sakho and Lovren's preferred role. Matip preferring RCB.

Never seen him play but I guess Klopp's probably watched him regularly over the last couple of seasons and thinks he'll make a solid 4th choice CB.

Welcome and hope he exceeds expectations

http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/228266-klopp-klavan-was-the-one-i-wanted-for-this-position

Quote
Ragnar Klavan’s performances against Borussia Dortmund more recently Liverpool are what prompted Jürgen Klopp to identify him as the right man to bolster the Reds’ defensive ranks, insists the manager.

The Estonia captain completed a switch to Anfield on Wednesday after four seasons and over 120 appearances in the Bundesliga with FC Augsburg.

Klavan will be familiar to his new supporters having lined up against Liverpool in both legs of the Europa League last 32 tie back in February.

And it was having watched his qualities up close as an opposing manager that Klopp admits prompted him to swoop for the 30-year-old.

He told Liverpoolfc.com: "At the end of last season I knew that if we decided to take somebody in this position he was the one I wanted. Now I'm really happy with the options we have got at centre back.

“I've seen up close for three seasons how good his performances in Germany have been and last season we got chance to see him against us - and a lot in preparation - for our games against Augsburg.

“The last time he played against us at Dortmund they had 10 men and he defended really well to help them get a clean sheet and a win.

“He will bring us really good qualities with his defensive intelligence and ability on the ball and he is a left-footed player so will give us extra balance.

“I know that he is not only a very good player but the type of mentality and person who is coming here to fight and to win.

“He has had chances to move to some very big clubs but showed loyalty to Augsburg and now we've beaten some big teams for him to come here. I think he has made a great decision!"

Currently with him being fit and able to play, would be his main ability at the moment.

Possibly jumping the gun a bit, but does anyone know if he'd be allowed to make an appearance tonight? Just curious. :)
