Na, just more general spam. Obviously your email is available on the profile if you want, but I thought that was only visible to people you let see it. I was wondering if something more sinister was happening, i.e. facebook are passing details on. Was thinking with people putting religious, political, marital status details etc on it, that's a hell of database they're compiling. Must be worth a fortune for marketing. Just a thought.

Can't be the horse porn. I'm not into conventional sex  8)

It amazes me how much detail people are prepared to put on there. Some have full addresses, phone numbers and goodness knows what else, never mind birthdays and religious stances. My email address is on there though - about the only thing that is - and I haven't had any more spam than usual.

What is wrong with letting your friends know your address? Mine is on there.

Not more spam for me either, apart from a lot of people I really have no interest in signing up to be my friends.

I set up a gmail account specifically for my facebook, I figured it was a spammers dream, but there's been no spam on that account.

What is odd though is that my overdraft has shot up, do you think it could be because I posted my name, address, telephone number, postcode, mothers maiden name and bank details?

(Actually, wouldn't it be fairly easy to get all those details from famous people (except for their bank account number))

It might just be pot luck. If your email address is visible and in plain html, then its available to spider apps for indexing.

So if a spammer is indexing Facebook pages looking for email addresses then it is at risk.

you can't see people profiles without adding them as a friend, all you see is the picture, network and name before you add them.

and I get no spam

I use it for keeping in touch with people who I've lost touch with (for whatever reason) over the years. Think that is the limit to it's usefulness in my case.

I have a Facebook and a lot of us keep in contact with each other on a daily basis using it and it's good, as people have said, for finding friends who you've lost touch with for whatever reason. Way better than Myspace I reckon, the photo tagging is really good. Oh and I haven't had any spam from it either.

Some one from India has set up a group called red and white kop.  We need an official RAWK Facebook group.  As I thought of the idea, I think that Juice Terry should sort it out.

I don't know, maybe we could discuss things going on at LFC, have a transfer discussion board so people can talk about transfer rumours. We could even have an off-topic area and other boards to discuss music, technology etc. Maybe even a ticket exchange?

I think Atha is like me, just wants to go through peoples lists and look for fit birds :P
