Great goal for the club, but absolutely amazing for Ben! A fully deserved goal for a young talent!

Even if you ignore our long history and just focus on the PL - scored at a younger age than Owen and Fowler. What a moment for him.

Brilliant moment for the kid. Is he mostly a wide forward? Or does he also play up front? Looks rather small for a Striker.

(Also... Somewhere out there... in his little Owen shrine... Michael Owen is seething)

If he makes it in the first team are we classing him as a local? From Chester I think. Sorry, I'm Scottish so no idea if that's class as being a local talent.

He's got that ice-cold finishing ability that stood Michael Owen apart at a similar age. He looks a real prospect.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

Also a great job by all the people involved in his coaching so far.

People will say it's a simple goal, but he's read the play, got into a great position and absolutely nailed the ball into the top corner, the ball too him was a tad slow and brought the keeper into play.

The lads just ice cold, what a talent.
