As I say, the talking over each other is something we were sort of trying to iron out as we went. It's very easy to totally lose track of where you are and just talk like it's a group of mates who break up in to their own little world.

Absolutely mate, Ive done it meself plenty of times.
Like I say its a great listen.

One point - the podcast doesn't actually promote the site itself. It's worth promoting as it's excellent!

Good point actually. Perhaps at the end of the podcast there could be a little comment about recent articles on the site and articles we can look forward to seeing over the next few days.

Very good, and not nearly as pretentious as i thought it might be. :P

Think you handled the 'everyone talking at once' problem really well considering how many of you there were.

If you're looking for some feedback, I didn't know who was actually doing the talking a lot of the time as I'm not familiar with yer voices yet.

Good point actually. Perhaps at the end of the podcast there could be a little comment about recent articles on the site and articles we can look forward to seeing over the next few days.

Yeah that'd be good. Not only does it help people know what's on the website, but it promotes it as well. I run a podcast myself and it can end up getting emailed on to others, burnt on disk, passed around, further than the download's let you know.

Like I said I believe it fills a massive void and unlike anything on LFC TV it's something I can listen to while watching another match (like City/Swansea last night), out on my bike, or while I'm doing jobs around the house. I think I will find myself looking out for it every week, and probably subscribe via iTunes. Like I said previously it's almost like a Sunday Supplement dedicated to us, but without the agenda's, or bellends. Just honest, frank conversation with a few laughs mixed in.

It's got a bunch of respected reds on there, a couple of whom I've met and I almost feel like I'm sitting there as well with a pint listening in, I may end up getting a couple tinnies in for the next one. I'm struggling to find any faults really. As it lasts roughly an hour, there's not much danger of going too far off on a tangent (as it does sometimes as any conversation may do once or twice) and feeling like something worthwhile wasn't discussed, because the host usually brings it back round.

I would agree with someone else that it helps there being 5-6 people on there rather than 2 or 3 as its great's to hear a spectrum of opinions. Also it makes a change from reading RAWK to gather other people's opinions as I don't have to listen to any unwarranted, over the top criticism - just fair comment.

If you're looking for some feedback, I didn't know who was actually doing the talking a lot of the time as I'm not familiar with yer voices yet.
Yeah I can only work out Kris and Rory, but I reckon over time you will get used to it. I'm sure you'd know if it was visual, but I quite like the audio aspect to it - although who knows for the future?

It'll be a pretty fluid guest list, so familiarity won't be that easy to come by. Bar Neil, it'll be changing quite a lot. If I do more than 1 in 5 or 6 I'd be surprised.

BTW

ANY feedback more than welcome

Initially, I  didn't 'get it' to be honest.  In fact, I still don't get the fashion, music etc bits. Those sections of the site just seems like a lame attempt to fill space.  How do you contextualise these? - by asking 'what are you wearing to the match'? and 'where are you heading out afterwards'? The line-up of the site is so strong in an LFC sense that any other content seems contrived.

Having said all that, I love it!!!

The podcasts are strong and it's good to have a site with muscle - in that there are so many role models who can influence the fanbase/point to the same content if we ever need to mobilise fans again (hopefully never or only in a good way).

One suggestion would be to make the logo slightly smaller. At present, when you change pages, the actual content is beneath the fold - certainly on a 15 inch laptop at least.  You might wanna give people a glimpse that content is actually changing when they click on a menu item or on a contributor's face.

Everyone seems to be enjoying the podcasts so keep it up and maybe build on it by having live Q&A sessions etc on the site.

Well done though. Good to see a site with so much potential.

There's a bank of ten or twelve though, not including special guests. It will come in time but I agree with the comment we need to introduce ourselves. Neil does well putting names on the end of questions, mind you.

For those wondering:

Phil is the posh one who loves Phil Dowd.
Rob is the well-spoken fella.
Gareth (of Well Red) is the one who likes the word 'bollocks'.
Jim is the softly spoken one.
Rory is the one who actually knows what he's saying.

This will come in time. There'll be gigs reviews, bands as guests on the show, things such as last week's Bossmag gig being discussed. Football is the main thing, but that brings in music and fashion sometimes.

Fair point though, defo.

Terrific.  Simply boss.  Kudos to all concerned, not a turd in the punchbowl.

But I can only listen on Itunes and it kept dropping the feed requiring a refresh and then trying to find exactly where to pick up.  For a radio show I think there are too many different voices.   4 or 5 guests should be the max.  I feel the moderator should keep the audience apprised of who's speaking and keep interjectors out unless they raise their hand or summat and are recognised.

And although funny, our Scouse habit of cracking jokes gets everyone off topic.

Yet another example of why we have the best support in the world.

To be honest, in my opinion, some of the best stuff on the site is the non-Footy stuff

Si Clancy's piece on The La's wouldn't look out of place in NME, and his interview today with the director of Hoop Dreams, Steve James is another belter.

The idea is to let people do things outside of their bubble, ie instead of talking about football, you've got Rory Smith writing about the riots and Tony Evans talking about ale, you've got Paul Rogers, who really knows his stuff, talking about music and David Morrissey and Scot Williams, both actors, talking about football.

Not defending it for the sake of it but the whole idea is to do something a bit different, of course, it's never going to please anyone, and I'm not haing a pop, just explaining why we've done it the way we have.

Just listened to the first two episodes tonight and thought it was the right mix between the boys chatting in the pub and a well directed panel.  There was much less paper shuffling noise too in the second one as well and sounds very professional.

Agree with some of the comments about working out who is who as that can be quite tough with so many people, especially if the guests are going to turn over so regularly.

I really didn't appreciate the delivery of cakes 20 mins into my run tonight, so a minus there.

Great job lads, great content and some excellent none footie articles, I really enjoyed Rory Smith's article on Englands schizophrenia.

The comment feature is perfect for providing feedback, anything more than that might take the emphasis off the site's actual content.

But I especially like the look of the site, it's very cool. My missus,  who is in to pretty websites,  was passing by my laptop when I was in the kitchen, she called me in asking me about the site, commenting on how great everything looks.

Anyway, look forward to hearing the next episode.

Well done lads.

thank you for direct link downloading now - for tech spazzes like me maybe its worth a headline on the front page?

otherwise i think the whole thing is a treat.  in a world of cluster podcasts it really stands out.  informed intelligent comment from people who love our club.

Only heard one episode and it's an absolutely brilliant Podcast.

The only negative I would make note of is the background noise. Sounds like paper 'wafting' it occurs quite often through the podcast, it makes it sound quite amateurish. That's just me being incredibly picky though.
