Could be a shout this. The one in Thornton's good too I used to play there but I don't think there's any vacancies goin' at the moment.

the bar at the one in thornton is decent too ! few jd,amarettos and cokes pre-match !

Having played at the Pitz, and Playfootball.net at both locations the one on Dunningsbridge is probably the best being the newest its expected. It has 2 7 aside pitches as well if we wanted depending on numbers.

Sorry I haven't checked in here this weekend. How come this was moved? Is it likely to get more attention here? I'm not a regular to these parts!

Scared_person - When do you want to get this going? I'd give it another 2-3 weeks to get more numbers (say around 15-20) and then we can arrange one night that suits all at either the Pitz in Bootle or wherever the majority are located.

I was figuring once we got 12 we've got a game going. We want enough to have a regular game even if one or two don't show up, but not so many that we end up with 8 a side on a tiny pitch.

Anyway the list so far:

Me
Keano7
Chronic
Fiasco
Scouser4eva
J-Mc-
Smig

Maybe
Graeme
Frank.

Thepepereina - I dunno if Friday is a good idea, plenty of people will skip off to go out on the piss I reckons. I was thinking tues or wed (subject to change if Liverpool finish fourth!!).

Any idea how much a pitch would be to book? and what pitches are we going to be using?

Depends. When we play in bootle its about 4 quid each and we play 6 aside. I think the pits is very similar, and the new astro in speke is even more expensive again.

The Pitz was only about £1-3 per person last time I went, but if we want to definately get a pitch then it'd have to be booked instead of just turning up.

Hopefully the bookings won't be to expensive.

Yar its a nice idea if you can get numbers to commit. If a few are good could even enter a league in the pitz.

The Playfooty ones in Thornton/Dunningsbridge Road are about £30 for an hour. We played 6 aside and all put a fiver in to make a kitty which meant we could buy gloves/footies/tops/bibs and sometimes have a free week. You pay the week before you play when you book it I think

Just to update I've phoned the Pitz and it costs £52.50 per hour for a pitch, so basically a fiver each. If we book 4 weeks they'll give us a ball and bibs.

They say they do discounts if we book in advance so I'll see what I can  do when we've got the numbers.

Pitch availability is 8:30PM or later Wednesday and 7PM or later thursday so no worries there.

Sounds good mate.

Evenings aswell so everyone should be free unless they work late and £5 each is fair for all aswell.

Nah not tonight, next week.

Hmm if we're gonna make a regular booking then whatever time we pick we'll miss some game or other. Are people really that fussed about watching those 2 teams of c*nts?

If we could get 14 a week then its only £2 each.  Just so you all know how the financing works, Greenbank will send me an invoice after 10 weeks of use for £275.00

I'll just be dividing £27.50 by however many of us there are each week.

I don't mind organising one for Liverpool - Say at Hope Uni which is only £28 for the astro's outside? Everywhere else in South Liverpool anyway is £35-£38. Up to you guys, but a lot will come from North Liverpool so its a bit of a trip. But I suppose its always going to be difficult to get somewhere that suits everyone location wise.

Yeah I was thinking of arranging it for the second week in June so its open to more people as exams for GCSE and Uni students will have/nearly finished by then. Any midweek night Mon-Thurs would be ideal for most but see what feedback we get first!

I would be interested in playing although cause I work offshore I wont be able to make it every week. Im back for 2 weeks from next wednseday so any games arranged between the 18th May and the start of June I would be available if you need numbers. I live next to Stanley park so anyone needing a lift from that area would be more than welcome
