I was going to add two other clues to this, but it might have made a tricky one, somewhat easier given this player is one of the few players to have achieved one feat for his national team, while one of his clubs were one of the few to do something else.

Only six clubs have won the premier league.....

One player played for four of these clubs (in premier league era)  but never won it himself,
Who is he?

Paul Dickov if my recollection of him coming through at Arsenal is true? He's definitely done City and Leicester a couple of times when they were shit and I think he had spell at Blackburn.

I just figured three of the clubs would be Leicester, Blackburn and City as for the most part they've been as bad as each other and would be the ones most likely to share players whilst not coming close to the title. Worked it backwards from there.

Paul Dickov, funny thing he had 6 years in is his first spell at Man City, but only had 1 season in the Premier League, he was a City player when they were in the old division 2, now league one.

Try all these too

The hints I took out were that Birmingham are of the few clubs to have won a cup and get relegated in the same year.

Taylor is also one of the few players to have played for a country without having no family ties to it. He was born in Germany to a German mother and English father. He grew up in Germany and England. But because of a quirk in nationality rules he was able to pick one of the home nations to play for, as he was eligible for all of them. He thus played for N. Ireland despite having no connection to it

The trophies listed were all won by his managers as players:

World Cup: Riedle
Euros: Tigana
Cup Winners Cup: McLeish/Bruce
European Cup: Souness/Keegan
Coppa Italia: Souness

Got them. The ones I couldn’t get were because I mixed up Romania (wrongly) with his country of birth and one of the Dutch ones who played everywhere.

Looking through Sporcle, this user that created the map quiz has a ton of these:

https://www.sporcle.com/user/sixte105/quizzes/?quiz-filter=mapped&order_by=plays

3 "published" by Sporcle (I guess some verification) but 17 others that were contributed.

Ah, got it.  Very interesting story and career.

From your quiz and explanation, I just remembered about both Lewis Holtby and Aaron Hunt.  Both were born in Germany and could've played for England through an English parent.  Given Taylor's journey, I was wondering today why they never gave the other home nations a look until I just saw they both had German caps.  :o  They were good prospects but didn't realized they both received German caps.  I remembered reading somewhere that Holtby's dad is a massive Blue, so I always used to wonder why Everton didn't give him a look.

On another note, it's incredible the number of random players that were on loan or played for Birmingham City.  I always remembered Roger Johnson, Scott Dann, and Liam Ridgewell as solid defenders on those teams (great for PL fantasy) along with a few others (Cameron Jerome, Seb Larsson, Hleb on loan there, Christian Benitez, Mauro Zarate, etc), but didn't know just how many players had a stint there through those years.
