Yep, but hadn't played quite as much football:
Last year, he had played 1193 mins and got 13 goals and 4 assists, for a goal/assist every 70.2 mins (but then went on a 6 match spree of just 5 goals - this is where this season he could catch back up)
This year he has played 1309 mins and got 10 goals and 5 assists, for a goal/assist every 87.3 mins (still bloody good, but not quite as good as last year).

It's in the Champs League where his stats appear worse, largely as we have had to play much, much harder teams (last year in the 2 matches vs Maribor, 2 vs Sevilla and 1 vs Spartak in Moscow, he'd scored 4 and assisted 1, whereas this year it's just 2 and 0).

Still, started slowly this season after injuries, it was understandable he'd get better as the season progressed, and he is at that point where he could spring forward in the goal scoring.

That goal was a bit of a worldie. Turned Rui, who he destroyed tonight, slipped the shoulder and ghosted past Koulibaly and tricked the keeper into a near post finish.

He is just unreal. And still criminally underrated.

That goal was next level. A CB who was coping quite well with him all game to that point, matching him for pace and out muscling him. And he does that!

He is an absolutely big game player. More of the same Sunday, Mo!
