Ox back late Feb or early March.

Earliest Ox would be available would be April based on the reporting.  And he'll need time to get up to speed.  He could prove pivotal to the run in, but on the other hand it might more be a case of him just securing match fitness.

Let's hope he can hit the ground running.  His dedication and sheer will alone shows he could very well become crucial to us.

I’m sure they won’t rush him back. His early return to training is a testament to him though. He will know there’s a chance he won’t be the same, so to show the motivation and drive that he has in his recovery is a huge credit to him.

It's as much about giving the players a buzz in having Alex around them again. He's very popular whether he get's to play or not this season that in itself will be a positive. Klopp has already said they won't rush him back, which considering what he's been through is sensible.

Even if he just returns to full training that will be a big deal for him and a boost for the squad in general.  Unless we get stacked with injuries to our midfielders though then I don't see him playing again this season, we already have Keita and Lallana frequently on the bench.

If he could go from now until August without any serious relapses and be in top condition for the start of next season that would be a result!

I'd be happy for Ox if he just gets back to training and has a good preseason in the summer. Everything else is a bonus.

AOC is definately the type of player that would be most impacted by that injury. One thing that gives me hope is that even over the last 10 years the number of players in various sports who seem to be making 100% recovery from bad knee injuries seems to be higher. Even Joe Gomez - I know his injury was a little less severe than AOC's but could anyone imagine Gomez being as good physically as he has been this season? Speed & strength.

Klopp said that Gini's and Trent's injuries are day by day which is surprising because Trent was ruled out for a couple of weeks. BOTH could be available tomorrow

Lallana was in training the last two days, should be in contention

Lovren should be ready for Leicester

Gomez improving, hoping for quick recovery no exact date

Matip has been in training for 10 days

We must have misinterpretted these Lallana quotes then. Would be good to have Lallana to share 90 minutes with Keita

Klopp says he is most likely out for another few weeks

This is the best case scenario we should all hope for..
I would rather let the Ox build up not just full fitness, but compete match sharpness as well.. Let's him play for the reserves.. Let him have a propper pre season.. Remember we have had a tweak in the system this season and our style of play has changed.. midfield roles have changed and the Ox wasn't part of pre season.. He hasn't practiced or played the system this season..
So to expect him to come in during a tense title run in would be a bit too much to ask..

Imagine a fully fit Ox with a full pre season behind him chomping on the bit next season..  :lickin

Imagine this midfield:

            Fabinho     Gini

                      Ox

   Or

                   Fabinho

           Ox                 Keita

 :lickin

I'd still have kept Clyne even with 100% health for the rest of the squad. People miss the point. It's not about people returning to health. I've seen many title winning squads for decades. Look at Ferguson's United. He'd keep players out on the stands all season, only to play one to 3 games where they play a crucial role. For the last dozen years or so we couldn't afford to do that. We'd sell or loan them. Can we afford to keep such players now? I believe, yes. So why take the risk? Simple. The fact is Klopp has taken risks like these here and at Dortmund. Sometimes they won't bite you. Sometimes they do. Im the kind of guy that plays it safer. What kind of guy are you? I'm also the kind of guy who believes all will be right in the end and this season the title is meant to be so one can't place optism, support and belief in 3 exact boxes.

for him to earn the EPL medal?

does that include subs or does he need to start?

Really hoping to see one of our defenders back soon. Doesn't matter its AA, Matip, Lovren or Gomez. Don't really like the idea of shuffling too much of our players around.

Well he's very young and has his career before him, so hopefully there'll be no psychological lag, in the way that setbacks during the latter part of a career can cause.

Klopp says they don't have to really think about him till preseason so I guess he's part of next season's planning now
