Porto Away Ticket Details
« on: September 17, 2021, 05:16:43 pm »
https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/tickets/443706-fc-porto-v-liverpool-away-ticket-details

Liverpool FC has released the following ticket details for the Champions League fixture with FC Porto at the Estadio do Dragao on Tuesday September 28.

The match will kick off at 9pm local time and the club has received an allocation of 1,251 tickets for this all-ticket fixture.

Supporters not in possession of a ticket are urged not to travel.

In line with UEFA guidelines, a further 100 top-category seats have been allocated to be used as part of the players' allocation and staff, travelling club staff and VIPs.

Important info before purchasing: Please only buy a ticket if you plan on attending the game.

As previously communicated, tickets bought this season will not be used as credits in future seasons. This policy is still in place and will not be changed.

Further to this, and given the ongoing pandemic impact, we will not be using this game as a credit in the current season as well. We do not want supporters to feel obliged to travel when they do not feel comfortable doing so.

Please only purchase a ticket if you intend to travel and attend yourself.

This will be reviewed on a game-by-game basis during the competition this season, with further announcements ahead of each game.

Liverpool FC cannot be held responsible for refused entry either into Portugal or into the stadium.

We therefore advise that supporters refer to and meet the entry requirements on the Portuguese Government website for the latest updates and read the conditions for stadium entry here.

In line with social distancing measures, all seats will be available to purchase as single seats only to minimise the risk to public health and fellow supporters.  Please ensure that when you select your seats, you choose the seats as near as possible to each other.

We are waiting on confirmation and will provide an update here as soon as possible.

Ballot of all homes if we get to final then....actually they are reviewing on game by game basis, expect if we draw a PL team later on (assuming we get out the group) they would use that as credit.

I think they'll continue to use 19/20 games for future matches this season

Lots can change as we all know.

Things may improve (or go worse) by the time the last 16 in February, should we make it, comes around.

So there's a chance credits from 19/20 may be used for last 16 then the last 16 used moving forward

Would have to be 18/19 Loyalty one would suspect. But as I said above plenty of time between now and end of next May for an away allocation where the credit is valid, as you've said either an English team, or if travelling is more of the norm and a standard away allocation is given

yeah, no real guarantee there'll be consistent away allocations for it to really be fair on all. i think a ballot just based off this season for those in attendance is the most equitable (home and/or away). but it could all become a moot point anyway

So CL homes the credit counts for this year, not next, even if you pass it on.
For away, credit counts for neither.
So if we get to a final, I could go to everything available and not go?

It says they will assess the aways match by match, I think if there was an allocation where travel was 'normal' it might count. Think this is most likely if we get through the group and got a PL team in the knockout

Right then - anyone got an EASY guide for me to follow as to what to do with all the restrictions.

I'm double jabbed.
I think that's enough to fly out to Porto. I probably need to prove this - how do I do that? (Edit: I've got the NHS covid app and downloaded the certificate and also printed a copy. Presume this is all correct)
I think I can then get into Porto without doing anything else. (Planning on the day trip).
I think I can fly back without doing anything, but have to take a test once back. I don't know anything about this.

Is that all for Porto? (And take a mask).
Edit: Apparently I need to fill in a locator card. But presume I need flight details before I can do this. It asks for seat number as well?
Edit: Have I got to have a test before as well?

Been trying to work this out myself.

Our NHS COVID certificate isn't an EU certificate, so also need a PCR or Antigen test to enter Porto. Also, until 4th October, also need PCR to return to England, but the one going out can count as the same within a 72 hour window.

I think a test on or before day two of return also needed to be booked, as passenger locator form on way home needs reference number.

Happy to be corrected, because I am a bit confused by it all!

Hahaha why is this so confusing?
I think I need to take a 2day test on return to the UK.
The gov site gives me a list of 100s to choose from - what's the catch - I just choose the cheapest right, rather than the more expensive ones? And do it at home?

It is and that's where I get more confused, because amber talks about day 2/8 testing, but fairly sure the Gov site says day2 only.

Actually think I'll f**k this off. I've talked myself out of it I think.

£46 for a ticket.
£292 for a day trip
£Renew travel insurance
£Travel to/from airport.
£45 test on return.
£Day off work the next day
£On that day off, travel to find a Randox drop off.

I reckon that's £400  minimum for a place I've been to about 5 times.

Might just go to Milan instead.

yeah, i'm not sure people are really fully realising the added cost and just general headache of these short trips even if the flight restrictions are being lifted (on our side) for those double jabbed.

it's also easy (at least for me) to glaze over the rules and forgetting we're not EU either now so the rules are a bit different. hopefully our fans travelling don't get caught out and waste their £.

£35 test before you go, I went to Rodney street clinic in Town was in an out within 2 mins.
Then 30 euro test before u come home.
But to get home you need to of booked your day 2 test an give the reference number on passenger locator form.

It costs about £100 for the tests.

Done. Much better way to input all of the required information compared to the old system, credit where it is due for once!

I’d be surprised if it doesn’t drop especially with it not counting towards next year plus we’ve played these recently.

Norwich was never dropping to general members…costs are so much lower than European footy.

Once you enter each name, it saves it at the bottom of your screen so its always visable...stops you getting to the end and then finding out that it has deleted the info that you've already typed in like the old system used to do sometimes! It also keeps the info on your screen once you move on to the next person so if loads of you have the same travel arrangements, you only need to fill in those parts once and for the parts that are different, name etc. you just type over it. Although we didn't need to this time, there have been plenty of times in the past, and will be plenty more times again in the future when we are buying the maximum of 10 in one go. Was a bit worried about the 20 minute time cap but it should be fine with this new system now.

Imagine actually attending all 12 and then not getting a ticket for the potential final.
