Best Smart Assistant - Facebook Portal, Alexa etc

Christmas is looming and left it late. I've got two very inquisitive nieces so thinking of buying them their own alexa/google assist kind of thing so they can ask questions.

Any recommendations?

What about this new Facebook Portal thing? Any good too?

Portal is more a webcam chat device type thing isn’t it?

I’ve an Alexa, mainly use it for playing music but ask it the odd thing and it’s pretty good.

Get them an Alexa or a dot.

Very handy to have around for music, news, radio channels, timers, alarms, and there's some decent apps that let you play quizes etc.

Ive just ordered 2 dots as xmas prezzies. Want another 2 but Amazon wont let me order more than 2
