I'm surprised the club haven't been in touch!

@Kit

I'd love it if you could post a tattoo outline for your European Royalty artwork - without the Liverpool FC part. Is that possible?

New poster featuring the Liverbird towering over the mascots of our rivals. West Ham

Uncalled for :P
From custard slices to menstrual waste in 4 posts. That's impressive, even for RAWK.

New poster featuring the Liverbird towering over the mascots of our rivals. United, Chelsea, West Ham, Newcastle, Arsenal, Spurs and Everton.

Will made into posters very shortly.

Final prints will be either A0 or A1  - possibly both and the image is extremely detailed.

Titled 'The End of a Storm'.

Wallpaper will be available from my deviant art site very soon :wave

Fuckin hell Kitster, that's' awesome. Great concept and brilliantly executed. Can't wait for the wallpapers and screensaver. Think I'll order a poster of this too for the kids. What price will they be?

Not certain as yet. Wont be expensive as they will be bulk printed. Just trying to find a place who can do the printing and provide them pre-rolled. I will be bringing a few over when i go to Liverpool in a couple of weeks.

I remember someone asked you for one?

Hey guys

I don't know if you guys have seen it around on billboards or in magazines (in australia)
There's a poster of Nando kicking a ball
he's wearing a red top and black shorts
and he says

"I don't see a wall...I see the gaps"

advertising the Total90 Laser II cleats

If anyone can find this picture somewhere on the net I would be greatly appreciative
because I just cant find it anywhere online, even on the nike site  :?

Well, until I changed to this one :D

This might be a bit much, seeing as I'm not sure if I'm going to buy...but you did a white on red and red on white version of this for t-shirts.

If it's not too much trouble, would it be possible to do a mockup of what this (the whole liverbird ensemble ... 'golden outline' - i.e., as it is in this version) would look like on a black t-shirt? I might be interested in buying one.

My own humble addition to the thread, which I'd posted in another thread back in RAWK back when I'd actually made this (a good few months now -  might have been in summer)

A very simple Nando wallpaper:

Question for you Kit:

When you go from the concept sketch to vector, what resolution do you work the vector in? I'm guessing higher resolutions produce smoother looking vectors as far as curves go? I've been a little frustrated getting perfect bends without showing where the anchor points arch sometimes. I'm thinking higher resolutions would solve this. I've only really started using vectoring for the design aspects of things now. I just normally free-hand stuff.

if you are using illustrator, then it doesnt matter what resolution you use, as the vector will be clean at any size.

Ah, will have to get that. I've been using Photoshop for most work primarily. I take it Illustrator is better for that, then?

I was bored and fancied learning some new shit on photoshop (never really tried the whole vector thing before), and after seeing this picture of Walter from Lebowski I thought I'd try it with Rafa.  Hasn't come out quite right, but for a first go, not bad I reckon.

Good that Art.
I had some ideas that I tried to do but I can't get the hang of that vectoring malarky.

Had another try, but it hasn't come out quite as well....in particular it's very tricky to get the faces right, especially when they have quite exaggerated expressions.  I do like how the shirt looks in this style, though.

if you are using photoshop - duplicate a few of the original layers and use the threshold tool (image>adjustments>threshold) to drop out colour and create shadows. then take the opacity down on the layer so you can see where you are - you get a good idea then of what needs to stay in the image.

my new painting - this one and the updated Torres one should be in the club shop soon hopefully. shows it through different stages - refining the image as it goes to make it look right - the reference photos i had were not very good for the position so took a lot of work to shape it up.

Got up to where i need to add the faces....it's took me three days to do and 919 different layers, but it's come out pretty well.  Hopefully when I do come to add the faces, it doesn't ruin it completely.
