Good news for our CL prospects that there is a Real/Barce title race on which forces both teams to prioritise the league especially if we have to face them later in the competition.

So multiple reports now say that Barcelona are signing Bruno Fernandes and gonna send him right away on loan to Valencia as a sweetener for Barca getting Rodrigo from them this window.

Another dodgy deal since...*checks notes*... last summer where they sold Jasper " chocolate wrists " Cillesen to Valencia for 35 million Euros while they bough Neto from them for 26 million Euros in order to merely act as a backup.

Xxavi, your club is filthy, mate.

Real Madrid have stockpiled so many exceptionally talented youngsters it’s untrue. Odegaard went missing for a while but my god, is he improving in chunks. Dortmund gave up way too early on Isak too, he didn’t even have time to fail. Looks like Sociedad have gained big time, he scores goals.

Had no idea he ended up there. Good for him. Odegaard will be part of the first team at Real from next season apparently. I'll wait to see it first. :)

yeah they did, maybe under a different coach it'd been different with Isak at dortmund. He became a victim of the size of Dortmund's squad in the end, they needed to move players, and he was one they could sell. They do have buy back and sell on clauses I think in the deal they made.

The former Villarreal forward Cedric Bakambu’s move to Barcelona has broken down at the last minute – while he was on his way to Catalonia.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo striker was informed his move from Chinese side Beijing Sinobo Guoan had fallen through during a layover in Hong Kong.

Atletico are really struggling at the moment. If their fortunes don't take a turn for the better and quite soon, we'll make light work of them in the Champions League.

They've got to replace Simeone. They've spent about 300m on attacking players in the last few years and managed 22 goals in 22 league matches. Fucking awful and nothing new. You could give him Messi, Mane and De Bruyne and he wouldn't have the first clue. If you're not 6 feet odd and prepared to run your bollocks off you've no chance of achieving anything there.

The players that they brought in to replace all those who left last summer just aren't as good as the players they replaced.  I think it's 6 players from the starting 11 from the previous years who've they had to replace.  It's not easy when you have to go through a squad turnover like that.

But, yeah, his tactics aren't great to watch at all.

Looking at the lineups, I'm guessing they were missing Modric, Courtois, Varane, Carvajal and a few others. The game against City will be interesting, both of the teams could have their seasons ruined by being knocked out. Real still have a chance at a league title, but an early CL exit would tarnish Zidane's reputation quite a bit.

Isak to replace Haaland imo, once they sell Haaland they would know they have a ready made replacement.

Norway got some ballers at the moment Sander Berge, Haaland, Sorloth and Odegard
