Anyone here use Brave.com as their browser?

Someone on another forum put me onto it and wow wee its great!

I was sick of ads and cookies, trackers, overlaying video.  I yearned for what the internet used to be like when all this shit didn't clog up the web. And I've found it with Brave.

Do yourself a favour and switch your browser and let me know what you think.  It's dead easy to do.

If you use Ghostery with Firefox then you don't see any ads or shit either :)

Been using this on all my devices for 4-5 months now. Great browser. Love the privacy features and you can even earn a little cash through the Brave Rewards system. Love it!
It ain't what you takin', it's who you takin' from, ya feel me? How you expect to run with the wolves come night when you spend all day sparring with the puppies?

Been using this for a few years now but never used the BAT donations, can they be donated to RAWK or is it only certain websites

OK, I downloaded it and have been using for an hour.

So far so good.  I will report back after using Brave for 7 days.

In the short time I have been using it it says that 2,198 adds and trackers have been blocked.

Its a really nice project and hopefully it takes off. Only area that it's lacking really is in syncing features but otherwise its great. Runs great on my Linux and MacOS devices. Mobile browser is nice too.

You could find out which folder the brave bookmarks are stored in and copy paste your chrome favourites to there, no idea if this would work but it might.

Mobile don't think you can

Desktop you export then import:

Open Chrome
Navigate to the Chrome Bookmark Manager
Click “More” option on the top right and select “export”
This should export the bookmarks as an HTML doc

Brave:
Launch Brave
Open Main menu --> Bookmarks -->Bookmarks Manager --> Options (top right) --> Import
Select the HTML file output by Chrome

I’ll revisit when they add ‘click the top of the tab to go up’ option. Feels fast but lacks some polish. Better than clusterfuck that is Chrome in any case.

Having problems with loading Netflix videos in Brave. Anyone know how to fix it?

type in the address bar, and go to, hrome://components

Netflix and other videos use Widevine so you're looking for this on that page

Widevine Content Decryption Module specifically needs to be up to date..  though try it in a private window? Far easier and will tell you if it's any extensions you use or owt like that
