Benteke on strike now for Villa, deliberately sabotaging any chance of a comeback. What happens in 2 years when Real Madrid come knocking, will he do that to us?

People saying Benteke will do better with the service we give him, we left Sturridge isolated for long periods. Benteke is completely the wrong striker to be buying. It's fucking obvious.

Thank Fowler we're not getting Caulker

Oh behave. I think I hate this argument (well, whine) more than anything else on the forum. Exactly the same was said after they beat us 0-1 in September and they didn't even have to play at all well to do so. They lost about six on the bounce after that. They've never been any good; they finished 17th. Only ourselves to blame for being utterly wank whether it's against Villa, Stoke or anyone else.

Yes, that this is the same club that played us off the park says a lot more about how poor we are than anything, possibly final nail in the excuses for us coffin

This game shows why we need a mobile striker who'll run onto the ball and why certainly don't need another lazy fucker that barely moves and drops deep.

£32m... It's bordering on deranged.

Don't understand why Grealish is still on the pitch, hasn't done anything right, not the best for a young player either.

To everyone talking about how Arsenal is better in every position on the pitch, were we saying that last season?

C'mon now, yeah some players have changed, but as a whole, more is still the same.

No doubt they are class, and I'm as frustrated as everyone else by our crappy season, but there is plenty more context to that statement.

Per the game, good to see we will have a full and proper pre-season. No excuses from anyone going into next year.

Yep should have been dropped at half-time.

Villa will be at EL next season?

No, due to a rule change, Southampton will

Oh well, at least we don't have to play EL qualifiers! Silver linings and all that.

Fair enough to support your team and be hopeful, but name one of our players that would get into this current Arsenal team bar Sakho or a fit Sturridge, cos I can't...

They're probably hoping he'll do something useful like his great grandad did in 1905, except that they actually won that final!  :lmao

I wonder if his agent said 'Christian if you want your move there, just play like someone they signed. Play like Balotelli.'
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

I was mistaken, he didn't score, but he did play. He's only 19, though, he'll probably get more finals in his career.

Sakho wouldn't get into their side...

He gets into the France side ahead of Koscielny pretty much every game, I don't see why he couldn't.
