I thought Lucas was gone for sure this summer. It's hard to believe he's still here and starting games.

Just one of those moments that you can't budget for. Souness in his pomp did the same thing once and got us knocked out of the European Cup - shit happens, even from your best players.
Which game was that?

Lucas shouldn't of even been put under that sort of pressure in the first place. That ball wasn't on with Leicester pressing high. Just kick the fucking ball up field keeper. This obsession we have of playing the ball out from the back at all times has caused us so many unnecessary problems. We just don't have the players to handle it.

Lucas has been nailing absolutely everything, pity about the mistake.

Yes for me he was having a good game. Positioned himself well and played some good quick passes. He was keeping the ball moving quickly instead of our often ponderous ambling forward. Too many people here just jump on the mistakes and don't see that he was having a good game.

How are people focusing on the mistake? You should be unbelievably excited about how good we are going forward or find another team or sport.

Are you a new member or something? We've got a group of negative posters who are only happy when they're whinging about something. At least most seem to be mentioning something about how great we were for most of the second half.

Lucas fanboy myself, but that was one of the worst blunders I've seen. He should have hoofed it, and he had plenty of time to do that. I prefer Lucas hoofing over Mignolet.

I'm finding it difficult to adjust to the new camera angle, I think the players are coping well with it. However, I do blame the new camera angle for this goal.

I'm not arsed about Mig's role in the goal, more the cross afterwards, dear god it was meek and pathetic. Luckily the woodwork bailed us out.

And that sums him up. The difference this season is that he'll fortunately be on the bench next game.

Exactly, he's been absolutely solid apart from the one time he was given the ball in a position of completely unnecessary pressure. God only knows what it will do for his confidence. All I know is that it's given Leicester all the motivation in the world.

We look to pass short from goal kicks all the time. Brass balls to put the blame on the keeper there.
True but we were leading by 2 and there was no need for that hurry. He could taken a few seconds to assess the situation before the passing. That's what the grouse about.

If that was Karius in goal, I don't think anyone would be questioning his pass out to Lucas.

They wouldn't because 'narrative' ... but its still not a good pass..... its also not his fault Lucas squared it to Vardy :/

You can't blame the keeper for that. Lucas miscontrolled the ball and then panicked.

When I saw we hadn't sold Lucas in the last transfer window my heart sunk.
When I saw Lucas's name on the team sheet my heart sunk further.
and now... :butt :no
The thing is that he appears a nice lad and he clearly loves the club but he is not a Premiership player. I hate to feel so negative towards any LFC player.
Only when he and Migs are out the first team that we truly move on.

On the positive side our forward play has been brilliant at times. Possibly we are more direct and quicker without Coutinho.
Enjoying the match and my team when we attack. We are a joy to watch! :)
Shut the fuck up and put some respek on Lucas name playboy

Well, that sort of play set up the second goal where Lucas played exactly the kind of pass you want from that position.

As for blaming it on Migs as people are desperately trying to do, let it go. Lucas has a very simple pass out to his left when he receives the ball, which Migs knew when he passed it to Lucas.

And Lucas has been my favorite player for years so it's not like I'm eager to make him a scapegoat. But of course it's his goal, jesus christ.

Are there many centre backs better at ball playing than Matip and Lucas?

In the world? Yes. Lucas isn't a CB for starters.

Anyway, come on Liverpool, lets put this behind us and get a few more goals to bring the 3 points home.

klopp should have seen that coming from a mile a way. wish we had big sam in charge..just hoof it..thats how football should be played. none of the shit passes to the keeper malarkey.

No you don't pass to the keeper when it is the worst option and then fuck it up.
It is 100% Lucas's fault, which I am sure  he would agree with.
It's done now, learn from it and move on. We need a big 2nd half performance.

Not even upset about the mistake.  The team's reaction to the mistake is infuriating though.

Which is directly the result of the fans in the stadium's reaction.  Everyone was fucking freaking out which filters down to the field.  People need to fucking relax.
