These lads in Red look decent.

Is it just me or did they hardly show any of our game (compared with, say, Arsenal) and made it look a lot more even than the game actually was?

It was last night so they'll assume most have already seen it. They only show extended highlights of the days games in questions (same with MOTD2, they only show the goals from Saturday night)...

Seems they show a bit more from the Friday night match but no real need to go into full highlights

Give it 3 years and they'll be advocating playing Rooney in goal rather than dropping him.

Think there's a difference between him playing as a 10 who goes looking for the ball to kick out of play and as a holding player who kicks the ball out of play and then has to try and deal with counter attacks and quick passing directly in front of the defence.

Credit to the presenter for bringing up the "Rooney is shite" issue though. Murphy and the other one were quite content to claim how "Rooney is one of the best passers in the league", "He still has it all", "You don't drop a player like Rooney" or w/e was spouted

Surprised Stoke have been so bad so far, especially with all those Champions League winners in the squad that they were so keen to tell us about last year.

They seem to be having their own personal battle with West Ham as to who can be more disappointing and shambolic at the back.

In all seriousness though, Allen was a very good signing for them and Bony seemed like a pretty smart move too. You'd imagine they'll get a lot better soon enough (starting at Old Trafford in a couple of weeks, hopefully).

Did Moyes get conned into dropping a player who wasn't injured by one of his own sub's?

Favourite moment of half watching the Watford v Unted match was the shot of a sub coming on for Watford... happily picking his nose on the touchline, rolling it around his fingers, then realises that the cameras might be on him so pretends he's not, then surreptitiously manages to sneakily pop it into the corner of his mouth... he turns round, and I see his name is 'Success'... and then does what he does on the pitch. Was hoping MoTD2 would pick up on that...

3 hamstring injuries for Spurs today, including Kane.

I think Pochettino is a really good manager and doing very good things there, but if they lose a few key players for any amount of time this season then they could be in a bit of trouble. Their squad players aren't great.

This is the first time he's been in a European competition he can't disparage and fuck off by consistently fielding a weakened team, so it might be a struggle for him to get the balance right between the two competitions. It's new territory for him. Expect a lot more injuries to come Spurs' way this season.
