Great news! Kelly Dixon is doing an insider podcast for this, as she did for Breaking Bad.

For those that don't know, she was an editor on BB and often had Vince on the show. It was a brilliant insight into the show. Sadly I only got on it for the last season, but it became essential listening after each episode.

Why all the hype? Trailers look shyte. Breaking Bad spin-off. So I assume Lillehammer.
The courts, the rich, the powerful or those in authority never lie. It has been dealt with 'by the courts' nothing to see here run along.

I had my doubts but the reviews are overwhelmingly positive so far

Thought the first episode was brilliant.

Much different (darker?) tone than what I expected.

I haven't watched it yet but I will soon. I just want to know whether or not it felt like they have put in a lot of effort in it? Because we know how spin-offs/sequels can be at times

I am not asking for a rating because that is never my point.

It's early days but it looks like it's not just churned out as a cash in. I like to think Vince has more artistic integrity than that.

I didn't like the first episode as much as some, but it's very well made and the writing is sharp, there certainly hasn't been a lack of effort, some of the shots are fantastic.

Thought it fell flat to be honest, the joke in the courtroom with the three college boys skull fucking a dead man's head didn't work. I thought the opening was quite promising, constantly in the background, his life had been completely drained, and the video of his old life being the only thing that brought any colour, neat touches.

It was better than I expected it to be but I think it's probably one I'll leave to marathon once they're all shown

edit: Watched the second one and I will be watching every ep to be honest. Just bloody love Saul and my mind has drifted to this show a few times since I watched it.

Loved it.

The Breaking Badesqueness to everything about it was like being reunited with a long lost love. I wondered whether or not Saul was the best character to develop. Don't know why now, he is perfect. Though everything he does is morally wrong, we can't help but love him.

Second episode is airing in the states as I write thing. Going to download it as soon as its available!

Watched both episodes now and impressed with it so far, as others have mentioned thought it might of just been a little money spinner but they seem to be putting an effort into this.

Nice to see old faces popping up as well.
