Their team is so poor...

How the hell did it get so bad?

Barca will fall off a cliff for a few years after Messi retires

Yet they're only a point behind Barca and have lost their first game of the season.

There is no doubt the team is poor. They are second yes... In the CL, they have showed signs of reverting to a very average size.

Celta Vigo have been shite so far this season, in the bottom three with no signs of improving.

Aspas isn't scoring, so they aren't winning. That simple really.

Hasn't really had a chance. Benzema is the #9, and Jovic is ineffective as a wide forward.

🚨 Barça and Atleti have done a deal to end their Griezmann row, say @elmundoes 🚨

Barça pay Atleti €15m, get a first option on players including Saúl (!) and Giménez (!)

To explain: Barça pay Atleti €15m so they won't release Griezmann emails that show deal was done early. In exchange, Barça get 1st option on players including Saúl and Giménez, if Atleti ever want to sell them

Good God, Atletico really is hard to watch. At first when Simeone started i liked that he was breaking that Barca-Real thing and getting trophies once in a while but watching his team now against Alaves,it really bleeds my eyes.

Looks like they will still get that famous 1-0 win though.

Finished 1-1. 11 goals in 11 matches, 5 draws already. At this rate they won't score more than 45 goals this year

I can only think of one game where Atletico were slightly entertaining under Simeone and that was when they went to Stamford Bridge and stuffed Mourinhos Chelsea. Actually, I think they also stuffed them in the UEFA final before then with Falcao up front, other than that, shite!

Watching Costa is painful. Hes just turned 31 but is performing like a 36 year old. The difference between him and Morata is massive. Morata is a bit dumb, and has erratic finishing but his all round game is far superior. One of the few players who can run the channels and stretch play for them.

Atletico with another 1-1 draw.

My god he's going to singlehandedly destroy Felix's development with this negative football.

Zero evolution to his game plan. It was acceptable at first and for a while cause Atletico were basically just the Real Madrid neighbours and he brought them to the top. He did a hell of a job as one league title and two CL final appearances is quite an achievement. Plus the cup and Europa League wins.

But imagine being a fan having to watch that football week in week out after so many years. Same goes for the players I reckon.
Messi in fact doesn't have a recognizable trait.

It'd help if their idiot manager actually played players in their best position.  When Suarez went off, Griezmann initially played through the middle where he's very good and Barca looked really good.  After halftime he moved him out wide and Barcelona looked worse then they did in the first half.
