After missing a month in the beginning of the season, Messi is now back to being the top scorer in La Liga. Ridiculous.

Pretty much.

Needs to be in the conversation when it comes to GOAT freekick takers. People always go to Juninho but after him who is there? Beckham? Ronaldinho?
After Juninho? Messi is probably taking over anyway.
Then it will have to be Mihajlovic, the racist c*nt.
After him, probably Ronaldinho. Calhanoglu was quite good but he has disappeared from the scene lately.
Platini, the fat corrupt thicko, was also decent.

Is it normal to have matches on a Wednesday at 20:00CET or does the Spanish FA want their precious El clásico to clash with our semi-final?

If you look at the numbers, Messi is far behind Beckham or Ronaldinho.

No, this is the one that was supposed to be played about 2 months ago but had to be re-scheduled because of the protests on independence. I think they had to get it in before their winter break

Was good up until a couple of seasons ago, now they're utterly dreadful outfits. Neither of these will even get to the Champions League semi-finals.

I thought it was an excellent and well played match. Madrid played much better than I expected. Benzema, Valverde and mendy were especially impressive I thought. If they play like that they will give Manchester City all they can handle.

Yeah, really tight tactical battle. Madrid stopped Barcelona playing, and probably deserved the win.
Both teams will be hard to beat in the CL knockout stages. If the Madrid backroom staff do the same job preparing the players for City as they did for this game, I think they'll be able to knock City out.

Umtiti's regression is quite staggering and he's approaching the prime of his career.  Obviously hasn't had a lot of game time of late with Lenglet and Pique Valverde's preferred pairing at the back, but the number of straight forward passes under no pressure that he was missing by quite a distance was really quite shocking.  No reason to fear this Barca team in the CL knockout rounds, as above I probably give Merengues more chance right now.

Atletico signing Cavani apparently. Pushing to get him in January, but if not then the summer.

If he signed in January could he play for them against us?

Watch him score now.

Cant see how Valverde is holding on to the job, are they really looking to face Napoli with him in charge?

Embarrassing decision from the Spanish F.A to 'revamp' the competition in this way to be honest. The most obvious and unnecessary cash grab imaginable.

The Madrid-Valencia game yesterday was shocking. Valencia played like they were there to just make up the numbers. At least this Atlético-Barcelona game is competitive. Jaoa Félix getting into everyone’s face here including Messi’s.

Yep, absolute wank. Loads of past it and never been it players being carried by a few top level operators in Ter Stegen, de Jong and Messi.

Barca are a two man team it seems these days  ;D

Dont usually watch Spanish footy, but it seems ESPN has picked up this daft Super Copa competition, so just switched this on to see Messi carrying Barcelona again.

Awful commentator though on this, whoever it is.....

Oh wait, that's hand ball. No goal.

And now it is 2-1.

Atletico being ripped apart here every time Barcelona attack.
