Dead ball kicker

(1/5) > >>

Mottman:
Imagine if Jimmy Case was in his prime in todays game with the light footballs.  I wouldn't like to stand in the wall never mind being in goal.

From the 70's best free kick takers were (not just for power)

Hughes
Case
Kennedy

80's
Whelan
McMahon
Molby

90's
Barnes
Souness
Dicks

00's
Berger
Riise
McCallister.

What do you think?

Paul:
Redknapp has been known to take a good free-kick or two!

And what about Murphy? The Stretford End think he is a superb dead-ball artist!

;D ;D ;D

Bob Kurac:
King Kenny and Fowler both had a way with dead balls on occasion too ...

I don't remember Terry McDermott doing much with dead balls; is this just my memory ? I always feel he should have been good with them, as his crossing was often brilliant.

Was Peter Lorimer the hardest shot in history ? Has anything ever been more fiercesome than Riise's goal v. the Mancs this season ? That wasn't a free kick though ...

Refresh my memory! I thought it WAS a free kick! Did someone move the ball first? (it was a while ago, my shit memory can't cope! )
