Dear H&G,

You both have been an embarassement to all sporting ownerships and have been good in only one thing - to show the world how NOT TO run a sporting institution.

Best move on to your other interests because managing a sport club isnt clearly your strength.

Asswipe.

He seems to blame everyone but himself.

Was his son who had it hard the bloke who told a fan to 'blow me, fuck face' - or something along those lines?

To be honest it also seems yet another fluff PR piece by his mates in the media (hello Rupert) again.

Credit SOS and the fans too - not enough credit given to them - especially to SOS, who for some people on here love to bash on more than they did G&H.

That's absolute horeshit and you know it so fuck off with stuff with like that

Did sky give a reason for this interview? It’s bizarre.

Good to see them put the huge amount of money they get from subscriptions to good use. /s

No. You can go back and see for yourself in threads on here around the time of G&H's ownership and refresh your memory. I'm fine, thanks.

Edit: Of which occurred 2 years before you registered on here? Wow.

Maybe go educate yourself first - before telling others to fuck off, eh?

It's a healthy reminder of how bad ownership can destroy a club, even one with a storied history and loyal fanbase like ours.

We are very lucky to have owners prepared to invest who, through their own history with the Red Sox, understand what Liverpool means to a working class city. I have every confidence now that when we need to spend, the funds will be there and, critically, we have management who have a stellar record of identifying talent.

Whenever my Evertonian mate goes on about how much we spend (pot, kettle) I remind him that our front 3 came in for around £30M each. That's three Michael Keanes or two Richarlisons.

Absolutely. To achieve what he did with them in charge? He would've won the PL more than once with our current ownership

I actually did a bit of freelance work for local radio back in the day and I was at the press conference when they announced the takeover, got to meet and interview the pair of them and never liked them from the first time I spoke to them. I still have the LFC folder and press release statement they gave out that day

God I loved reading that.

The man lost money on us.  Isn’t that wonderful?  And he got the club prized form his grasp against his wishes which is now worth billions more.  And he puts it down to luck :lmao

Fucking brilliant. And that he doesn’t blame the fans but blames social media is even sweeter.  Who did he think was doing the social media stuff?

I haven’t enjoyed reading a piece so much for ages.

Think it's time that Mr Hicks came back into English football. There's a historic club also in the North West who could do with his patronage, a promising young Norwegian manager he can work with and a fanbase who'll buy enough green and gold to keep him in cigars to his dying day....

.....what about Everton. That would be a nice fit. Whenever we are about to play them I think back to that Goodison derby when we had the owl in charge..their fans were delirious with schadenfreude holding up that banner "Agents Hicks and Gillette..mission accomplished" .

"It was a difficult time for your family, especially your son Tommy Jnr, how do you reflect on that?

It was a difficult time for Tommy especially, he learned some painful lessons himself, it made him part of who he is but he's doing great now, he's co-chairman of the RNC (Republican National Committee) helping President Trump raise $1bn to get re-elected. He's got a thick skin and part of that came in Liverpool."

Absolutely cut from the same cloth, scumbags stuck in the eighties who have no place in leadership roles in 2019.

I'm not giving Sky the oxygen of a click by reading the article, but there I was thinking my opinion of those c*nts couldn't go any lower, yet there you go, the fact that Hicks' son, who he of course named after himself, is co-chairman of the fucking Republican National Committee (all on his own merit, of course, pulled himself up by the bootstraps) and that Hicks is proud of that has achieved that feat.

But I suppose that's just the sort of thing you do when you've got billions of dollars and zero social conscience.

Seems a bit like he going or always was senile. Fans were turning against Rafa? Oh and his comment about the US now having all games live but not 10 years ago is bullshit.
The people of Liverpool are workers. This is not a rich town where everyone lives a comfortable life. They work hard for themselves, and this is what we at Liverpool like to do. This is the attitude we must all have.

I think everyone is missing the point here - this prick is obviously still hurting and very Everton over the whole “epic swindle”. People should watch it, it’s great viewing!

We the fans beat this villainous cretin and made him lose his money. For us, it was a moment of pain for a lifetime of joy watching him bleat to those shit houses!

Why did Sky even send someone out to interview him? What was their motive?

He doesn't deserve the air they gave him.

Meanwhile they don't seem to be arsed about the job the Glazers are doing on Man Utd or the fact that they have made an even worse start to the season than we did under Hicks, Gillette and Hodgson.

This Man Utd unfolding car-crash should be like mana from heaven, but they are keeping strangely quiet about it all. "Nothing to see here" type stance.

Really, why the fuck roll out Hicks at this point? Stinks to high-heaven.
I think the same, can't stand him, but if you could have a £1million pound cheque or steve bruces head hollowed out and filled with pound coins which would you have?
